4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013 NEW

Stayed one night early June on a leisurely return from Orkney. The guest rooms are on the ground floor and ours was at the side/back, not much view but very quiet. Comfortable beds, pleasant decor, smallish shower room. Breakfast, ordered the night before, was very enjoyable and Paul gave us good advice about where to have dinner(we chose The Star).... More

Lovely rooms and bathrooms elegantly finished. We had a warm welcome from Paul, along with a cup of tea. Everywhere clean and fresh. Quiet location but within walking distance of the town centre. Good breakfasts. The only criticism, if I must make one, was the lack of space and amenities in the bathroom. We would certainly return. Thanks Paul and... More

We stayed for one night on the way back from the highlands and were warmly welcomed by Paul and Denise. Our room was at the back of the house and was very peaceful. It had all the amenities you could wish for and was very comfortable. The location was great being only a very short walk into town. Breakfast was really... More

We were just stopping over in Moffat for one night on our way to Ardnamurchan and chose Queensberry house with the help of Tripadvisor. We were pleasantly surprised with Moffat itself and would be happy to return there sometime. Queensberry house was welcoming and comfortable with excellent breakfast and Paul was very helpful in advising about local walks etc. We... More

We stayed overnight, on our way to the Cairngorms, Queensberry House provided a very cosy and comfortable stop off! We were welcomed with tea and cake. Lovely breakfast and pleasant room. Highly recommended.

We stayed overnight with Paul and Denise in May 2013. The room was pleasant and clean, the facilities modern and of high standard and the reception from the owners was warm and friendly, including a welcoming glass of sherry. We were also given an excellent recommendation for a place for dinner. On top of all of this, Paul and Denise... More

Day 9 of our Lands End to John O Groats ride, and well used to one night only accommodation at this point and Queensberry House proved to be one of the very best. A great and friendly welcome, bikes looked after and secured so we could immediately relax. Rooms beautifully clean, bed comfortable with a superb breakfast in the morning.... More

We stayed here for one night on the way down south from Scotland. It was such a relief to find somewhere like Moffat so close to the main road. Queensberry House is an elegant Grade II listed building in an open, quiet setting, and has been refurbished without spoiling its character. Paul greeted us with a tea and biscuits in... More

For once we decided to break our journey from the south of England to our home in the Highlands with a short stop in Moffatt and our choice for the night could not have been better. We were influenced by the Tripadvisor reports which were right on target. The welcome was everything we had been led to expect although we... More
