This hotel has a great location and a style and individuality that makes it a very charming place to stay. The staff are exceptional. Efficient, fun and very friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We were very cosy in the cottage annexe. Breakfast was excellent and the range of food on offer for other meals will suit all... More

Rooms were good but food was amazing. Everything was of such a high standard. Loads of choice for breakfast - my favourite was French Toast with bacon and maple syrup but family had full breakfast which was also great. Had beef and onion baguette at lunchtime which was probably the best I have ever had and I am fussy so... More

Stayed here for one night while visiting the town. Room was very basic and drab, no atmosphere atal. Ate dinner in hotel which was very nice and reasonably priced. Lovely garden area at rear too. More

First the good things about this hotel. All the staff I met were very friendly and extremely helpful. The cooked breakfast was probably the best I had ever had in any B&B or hotel, it was cooked to perfection. Also the garden at the rear, although I didn't use it given the rainy weather when I stayed, seemed a lovely... More

Thank you for your honest feedback. Obviously disappointed that we let you down especially as I'm a Skiptonian ( although I've been up in this Utopian party of the world for 23 years now ). We take every comment very seriously and I am looking at what went wrong - ( It was the Saturday night that you dined and... More

I managed to get the last available room for my one-night stay. I was very impressed by the friendly and professional staff and was shown to my room on arrival. My room was a double with lots of storage space. It was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. My only disappointment was the view, or rather lack of it - all... More

Our room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable, the staff were friendly yet professional We ate in the bistro each of 3 nights and the quality and choice is extreamly high. It is so popular that the tables fill very quickly. Breakfast is of the same high standard and with an excellent choice. WFI worked well and whilst... More

From the minute we arrived at the hotel and were shown to our room we knew this was a well run establishment who valued customer care. The staff were very friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Had a meal in the restaurant which was superb but the meals served in the Bistro bar were of the same... More

Many, many thanks to Joanna, Andrea and Douglas for organising a 3-night stay for our 2 families and a really excellent lunch to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday. As far as the food is concerned, the choice at breakfast fulfills the widest dreams. For birthday lunch we asked in advance if mussels could be served and the chef produced the... More
