We've stayed a couple of times now, and it's definitely the sort of place to go back to. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The food is very good, both in the restaurant and the Bistro, and sitting in the lounge with a pint of The Grace real ale is my idea of heaven!

A warm welcome, attentive staff, comfortable rooms, food to savour, menus for all tastes, a pleasant relaxing atmosphere plus all the delights of Kirkcudbright and South West Scotland. It really doesn't get better than this!

I drew the long straw - lovely room with view of garden. Group dinners delicious and efficiently organised. Staff kind, friendly and helpful, from top to bottom of the hierarchy. Look forward to my next visit.

we really enjoyed our couple of nights in this friendly and 'old fashioned', in the best possible sense of the phrase, hotel.

Visited here for lunch and was not disappointed. The food was excellent - hot and served quickly. the staff were very pleasant and attentive. Will definitely come here again when in Kirkcudbright.
