Made to feel welcome right from day one when we were greeted by Robertson even before we had got to the door. Told us where everything was and nothing too much trouble. Room was spotlessly clean, charmingly decorated and plenty of room, well stocked beverage tray with a small decanter of a different single malt each day. We had a... more

This was my fourth stay at Ferintosh so it proves that I must like it! Robertson and Emma are friendly and welcoming hosts who not only go out of their way to make the place very pleasant and comfortable but also to ensure that every stay is enjoyable. They organise many social events through the year for the kilted fraternity... more

Having just spent three nights at The Ferintosh, in order to attend the celebrations of Robert Burns' 250th Anniversary in Dumfries, I am delighted to say that the warm welcome and hospitality of Robertson and Emma is just as it was on my three previous visits - faultless! The rooms are as spotlessly clean and comfortable, the hospitality trays as... more

Had a warm, cozy stay at Ferintosh despite the January rain and snow outside. The hosts are delightful, with local knowledge and attention to your every need. And the single malt connection is an added bonus. Great place to stay! more

I recently stayed in this particular guest house whilst in Dumfries for the 250th Burns birthday celebrations. My host and hostess, Robertson and Emma, were the most welcoming and friendly couple one could ever wish to meet. My en-suite room was stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is cooked entirely to order, and not presented as a fait accompli as... more

This guesthouse really makes you feel at home! Robertson and Emma are perfect hosts. They will show you the best places to see, to eat or to drink. It is a joy to stay here and you will be sad you have to leave. more

I made my first visit to Ferintosh Guest House, in Dumfries, in the summer of 2006. It was such a pleasant stay that I knew I wanted to return - and I've just done so. I am pleased to report that Robertson and Emma have maintained their extremely high standards. Ferintosh is a beautiful guest house. Emma and Robertson are... more

Very good B&B. Stayed here for 4 nights. The hosts were very pleasant and the rooms warm and well presented. Different types of whiskey were waiting for us every night which was a pleasant touch. Breakfast was good especially the porridge! Will not disappoint. more
