This B&B was great. The room was beautiful. They gave you free Single Malt Whiskey and cookies in your room everyday. Also free Breakfast. Excellent standard and brilliant service for a guest house in Dumfries. We stayed here during our Land's End JOG cycle ride, and the welcome was warm and friendly, especially the complimentary whisky. Directly opposite Dumfries Station and a few hundred meters from the town centre this great Guest House couldn't be more conveniently situated. A truely magical Burn's Night weekend. Wonderful hosts who couldn't do enough for us. In particular the fact that normally, being both vegetarians, we tend to get the donkey's tail (not literally, but it has come close a few times!) when it comes to service - more often than not we are palmed off with pasta as an after thought.... more
