We had the pleasure of staying at Glenlossie on 12th April. We were able to check on early so we could leave our bags as we had an ice hockey match to get to. We had a great nights sleep and breakfast the next morning was excellent. What a lovely place to stay.

Stayed for a one nighter in Dumfries, we intended to come touring on the motorbikes but the weather was "dreake"so we used the car instead. We got one of the last room (one of the older rooms) which nice and clean if a little tired and small. The electric shower took a bit of balancing to get it right and... More

We are just back from 2 nights at this wonderful guest house in Dumfries. The owners couldn't have been kinder throughout our stay. The breakfasts are wonderful (you really won't need lunch). Our dog was allowed to stay free of charge which was brilliant. Two of our party were mountain biking and came back VERY muddy but the drying room... More

I've just come back from a 2 night stay at the Glenlossie Guest House. I was in Dumfries watching Ice Hockey, and found the hotel on-line. What a gem of a place. From the moment I arrived I was impressed. The rooms were in the new block at the hotel - spacious, tea and coffee facilities, with Viscount Mint Biscuits,... More

Believe all the reviews. The rooms are very comfortable and just what you need - lots of lovely touches. We were greeted with a smile and very friendly and that continued for the 2 nights we were there for. The fact that you were told you could use dishes from the dining room if you wanted to bring a takeaway... More

This was our third stay at Glenlossie and, once again, we could not fault it. The welcome was warm and friendly. We had the same room as on our last visit, in the newer part of the building, where it is very quiet. We really appreciated having a fridge in the room for our cold drinks. Fresh milk was available... More

My partner and I have just returned from a weekend in Dumfries and stayed at Glenlossie. The guest house is excellent value for money, breakfast is great and plenty of choice. The staff are all friendly and we felt really welcome. The room we were in had a kingsize bed and a single bed, there was still room to move... More

Very impressed with this b and b. Genuinely friendly owners. Nicely decorated and comfortable rooms [too often b and b's have terrible flowery decor- this hasn't!]. Good, clean shower room. Excellent breakfast. Excellent value and possibly the best b and b in Dumfries.

Very dog friendly but no doggy smells, we arrived early but we're able to check ourselves in using the key safe after a quick call to the owners who were out walking their dog, the room was small but had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed with memory foam mattress. The overall impression was that money had been... More

Four friends and I stayed at the Glenlossie recently whilst visiting Dumfries. Having travelled up from the North East of England we arrived prior to the normal check in time but Graham, the owner, was already aware of our plans and kindly agreed that we could check in on arrival. The Guest House is situated on the main road into... More
