Been here a few times, mostly lunchtime. Have alway been happy with the fare. It's not fancy but good, down to earth pub food. Staff have always been very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Good value.

We stayed here in June as an overnighter to break our journey for myself, wife and grandson. We often do this but usually stay in the, out of town, Travel Inn or Travelodge. We usually do a bit of shopping through the day, back to the hotel, and back into town for a meal at night. Car park - spacious... More

After being let down by another hotel in the town we managed to secure a room in this hotel very last minute. We were greater by a member of staff who was expecting us and was shown to a very nice room in an annexe at the rear of the hotel. The room was very well presented and very clean,... More

Sandwiches choice was very poor - only 4 different kinds and the quality was not good . There was very little food for 80 people and a cost of £8.95 for soup and sandwiches was not cheap . The tables were never cleared of glasses and the service was sullen . We were charged £1.50 for a small glass of... More

We stayed here for the last few days of 2013. We found all the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The food served in the bar was very good indeed and the table service was excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts were well worth the money. We were even invited to the New Years party which was brilliant... More

A disappointing visit, the so-called 'wheelchair accessible' toilet is anything but, the ramp is a flimsy aluminum affair that gets slippery in the rain, the doors are too heavy for a wheelchair user to push and part of the dining room is up 2 steps. The meal itself was smaller than expected and not worth the amount of money charged.... More

Went to moreig hotel after a funeral for the wake. Waited at bar for at least 10 minutes till someone showed up! And what i got was "what u want" after pouring my drink said in a snappy voice "anything else" then after grabbing my money was "next please" thought comes to my mind is sorry for making the hotel... my wife and I had a meal at the Moreig on a Tuesday night, for our wedding anniversary - we were the only diners - very quiet night. The hotel had a temporary ramp system for wheelchair access, bit fiddly due to the layout of their access steps, but did the job adequately. The decor is very nice, staff very... More
