As all the other reviewers have said, what a lovely hotel this is. We only met with Terry but what a very nice person he is. We arrived a couple of hours before we were due to have checked in but it was no problem, the room was ready and he carried our case upstairs. The interior of the hotel... more

The stay at Huntingdon House was the best hotel experience we have ever had, very impressive! The hotel owners provided an excellent level of service and even offered to run is into town to save us the taxi fare! The room was very well cleaned and maintained and had all the equipment you could possibly need including ironing board and... more

Being on my first official "Lone Genealogical Venture", I flew from Florida to Britain railing to many cities, towns & villages where my ancestors had lived. One of my favourite places to stay was the Huntingdon Hotel. Beautifully decorated in Scottish style, lovely breakfasts cooked with TLC, modern comforts in an older traditional structure and of great importance, safe and... more

It was pure chance that I booked this Hotel for a weekend of mountain biking around the 7 Stanes. We were given a friendly welcome by Terry and shown to beautifully decorated rooms, all with ensuit facilities. The bar was very pleasant and the following days breakfasts were excellent. We were recomended a local resaurant to eat at that night... more

I booked one night at this great little hotel for myself and two mates as we were visiting the area to ride the 7 Stanes mountain biking trails at Mabie and Ae forests close to Dumfries. First of all I would like to say that the Hotel owners are fantastic hosts and were very accomodating to three blokes with bikes... more

Terry and his family have remade this place into a great destination. Great rooms and friendly, hospitable owners make for a very pleasant stay. This was our second stay here and both trips were great. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good and the bar is very friendly. Dumfries is very central to the South of Scotland, though the selection... more

We recently spent 4 days and 5 nights in Dumfries tracing the family tree. We stayed at the Huntingdon House Hotel on a bed and breakfast booking. Run by the friendliest and most efficient couple (Terry and Lynne) out of all the places we have stayed in. From our arrival to departure nothing was too much for them, from carrying... more

We stayed here Easter 2007 for 4 nights and it is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in since arriving in the UK almost 2 years ago. We do a lot of travelling so have stayed in a lot of B&Bs and hotels - but this was exactly what a B&B should be like. Terry and Lynne made... more

We have just returned from a weekend at the Huntingdon Hotel, Terry and Lynne were the most obliging hosts, Nothing was to much trouble to them and they were friendly and only to happy to suggest places of interest. Even though myself and my partner were the only two people in the Hotel that smoked we went outside where they... more

Having just come back from a wonderful two night stay at the Huntingdon we felt the need to express our sincere thoughts. We were greeted by the hosts Terry and Lynne in a very welcoming Black Watch carpeted hallway. We were made to feel at home straight away and off to our double room we were lead. This room was... more
