Just spent 2 wonderful nights at this superb B&B.This comment of "No no no" is what my husband said when I asked if we could stay for a month, not because of the cost which I might add is very reasonable but because of all the weight we would both gain.. Gordon's talents in the kitchen are second to none... More

A fabulous b&b , in beautiful countryside . So peaceful & quiet . Amazing garden to enjoy . The room was massive and spotlessly clean . Lots of extra touches . Breakfast at any time you wanted . Another example of going the extra mile . Couldn't fault it even if I wanted to ! Delightful couple . I hope... More

We have stayed here a number of times over the past 15 years and have always felt welcomed. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped with lots of extras and the breakfast is great. The house is outside Dumfries, off the road and with country views. We will return.

We had a family occasion to attend in Dumfries & decided to book 3 of the 4 rooms at Wallahill House. We were not disappointed, the rooms were very large & had lots of lovely touches that other B&B simply do not have. From a glass of sherry, fruit bowl, biscuits, water, tea & coffee, fridge etc etc. Breakfast was... More

Oh what a welcome, a huge room beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable, and to top it off a large bowl of fresh strawberries, shortbread and sherry. Breakfast was in keeping with the size of our room, a very nourishing full Scottish breakfast. Gordon thank you for looking after us so well, we really enjoyed our three nights stay. The quiet... A rural setting of natural and artful beauty. The front garden that slopes down to the road is beautiful with flowers that can be enjoyed from the room at the front of the house (where two of us stayed for two nights). Although it is rural ("Kirkton"), Wallamhill House is within a few minutes of Dumfries. Solar panels announce an... More

Really nice, comfortable, and relaxing. Gordon & Margaret had thought of everything and were particularly good hosts - even showing me their own DVD of the flooding of the River Nith. A glass of sherry in the room in the evening was a particularly nice touch and this is one of the very few places I have ever stayed where... More

This was our last stop after a week touring Scotland. Set in the gentle rolling hills of Dumfrieshire, we were made very welcome by Gordon and Margaret. Our room was huge, with possibly the worlds largest bed to get lost in. Fresh milk in the fridge in the room, and a cafetiere were nice touches. The house was very spacious... More

Travelling with a goup of Morgan owners, we were very well looked after at this spacious B&B. Large, comfortable, ensuite rooms. Lovely views across the front lawns. Our hosts provided a splendid BBQ for our whole group (half of which was staying at another B&B) for a very reasonable fee, including a drop of the amber spirit late on. Excellent... More
