Stayed here with my dog for a couple of nights in April in room 8 (highly recommended!). The room was HUGE! And so was the lovely bathroom. Loved the nice little touches, like homemade shortbread in the cookie jar, and the lovely organic bath products. Lovely surroundings, views, and walks out of the back of the hotel. Gorgeous food! Lots... more

We recently had a lovely time at Trigony House Hotel. It's a small 'pet friendly' hotel which was ideal as we have golden retriever. We were made most welcome at the hotel and also had a friendly welcome from Bess the black labrador! The hotel's grounds are ideal for walking and you also have the nearby forest and pathways to... more

We originally stayed in this hotel 4 years ago and had quite a pleasant stay, apart from being overcharged for tea and cakes. We returned for my wife's birthday, mainly because of the location, being quite near to Dumfries and Caerlaverock. We stayed dinner, bed & breakfast at a cost of £70 per night each (reduced rate, but only by... more

We have just returned from 5 days at the Trigony House Hotel. Hotel was excellent. We stayed in room 3, a superior double. No complaints about the room at all. Large room, very clean, good quality furnishings, lovely king size, comfortable bed. Staff at the hotel are very friendly, could not do enough to help. Our main reason for the... more

My wife and I decided to visit Scotland, but wanted to take our dog (Honey - English Springer Spaniel) with us. After just doing a Google search on "Dog Friendly Hotels" Trigony house appeared. We read the reviews on Trip Advisor, and decided that we should definitely give it a go. We booked the garden suite, and we were nothing... more

We arrived with our two dogs Jake and Jodi at Trigony en route back to the ferry after a honeymoon week in the highlands. We booked Trigony because it allowed us to have our dogs in our room and in the lounge area. When we were there, I'd say that most of the occupants had dogs with them and there... more

We have just stayed at Trigony House with friends from the U.S.A. It could not have been better. Our room was large and the bed would comfortably sleep four people it was so big! (We didn’t actually try that, it is just a guess). The bathroom was superb with a wonderful huge shower. Our friends, with their, American standards, were more... more

We spent a wonderful weekend at Trigony House. The atmosphere was very pleasant and cosy and the food was delightful. The large log fires made it very comfortable as it was a particular cold weekend. IWe were particularly impressed at the facilities available for invalid access. Since the new refurbishing of the ground floor suite, it is superb for people... more
