My husband and I spent the night of 10th July 2008 at the Trigony House on the way from Northern Scotland back to England. We chose the hotel after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and also because the location suited our travel plans. Most of all though I knew that by that stage of our holidays we would miss our... more

A wonderful hotel found thru trip advisor. My wife and I spent one night and were delighted - we had a great dinner, great breakfast with friendly good service and a great view over the pretty garden from our room. The herbs with dinner came from the organic garden. My wife loved the home made jam and marmalade for breakfast.... more

Absolutely PHENOMENAL. The owners were away on their holiday but in their absence the hotel remained immaculate, the staff were exceptionally friendly and the food was outstanding. A real credit to the hotel and owners. We took our dog and 'dog friendly' does not do it justice! Dog loving seems more accurate, a welcome note from the resident dog, toilet... more

I took my husband to Trigony House for a much needed 2 night DBB break without the kids. Our stay could not have been better. Being on the large side I had specified I wanted a large room, KS bed as the website indicated some of their rooms were smallish doubles. Our room was massive, bed was huge, the ensuite... more

Stayed here with my dog for a couple of nights in April in room 8 (highly recommended!). The room was HUGE! And so was the lovely bathroom. Loved the nice little touches, like homemade shortbread in the cookie jar, and the lovely organic bath products. Lovely surroundings, views, and walks out of the back of the hotel. Gorgeous food! Lots... more

We recently had a lovely time at Trigony House Hotel. It's a small 'pet friendly' hotel which was ideal as we have golden retriever. We were made most welcome at the hotel and also had a friendly welcome from Bess the black labrador! The hotel's grounds are ideal for walking and you also have the nearby forest and pathways to... more

We originally stayed in this hotel 4 years ago and had quite a pleasant stay, apart from being overcharged for tea and cakes. We returned for my wife's birthday, mainly because of the location, being quite near to Dumfries and Caerlaverock. We stayed dinner, bed & breakfast at a cost of £70 per night each (reduced rate, but only by... more

We have just returned from 5 days at the Trigony House Hotel. Hotel was excellent. We stayed in room 3, a superior double. No complaints about the room at all. Large room, very clean, good quality furnishings, lovely king size, comfortable bed. Staff at the hotel are very friendly, could not do enough to help. Our main reason for the... more

My wife and I decided to visit Scotland, but wanted to take our dog (Honey - English Springer Spaniel) with us. After just doing a Google search on "Dog Friendly Hotels" Trigony house appeared. We read the reviews on Trip Advisor, and decided that we should definitely give it a go. We booked the garden suite, and we were nothing... more

We arrived with our two dogs Jake and Jodi at Trigony en route back to the ferry after a honeymoon week in the highlands. We booked Trigony because it allowed us to have our dogs in our room and in the lounge area. When we were there, I'd say that most of the occupants had dogs with them and there... more
