Have been staying here since 2012-great food clean rooms and relaxed friendly atmosphere-owners Freda and John are lovely people-I highly recommend it-close to the stanes mtb trails-always feel welcome and they are knowledgeable about things to see/do

This B&B is located in a row-house near the centre of Dumfries. A limited amount of off-street parking is available. It is an older property with "character." The tradeoff is that the rooms and bathrooms are smaller than would be the case in newer construction -- but we did not find this to be a problem. The rooms were immaculately... More

I stayed at the Glenore last week end and was greeted with a warm welcome by Freda. My room was clean and comfortable. Pleanty of hot water and towels, in my lovely bathroom. The choice at breakfast was superb and the dinning room is light and airy. The tea tray in my room had plenty to offer including a tea... More

we arrived in Dumfries late afternoon and booked a room at the Glenure through the local tourist information office. All aspects of the Glenure were excellent. we were travelling on motorbikes and they ensured we were able to park the bikes at the back of the property out of sight therefore in relative safety. We were given a warm welcome... More

My wife and I stayed here initially for three nights, then a fourth to take in the annual riding of the marches. The weather was excellent, and the parades very enjoyable. Glenure B&B is comfortable, with excellent facilities, and hosts Freda and John extremely accommodating. Breakfasts are superb, but if a huge meal is not wanted, Freda is flexible! All... More

I found the Glenure perfect for visiting friends in Dumfries. The bedroom was beautifully furnished with everything that a guest could possibly want. The Glenure is neat, extremely clean and clutter-free and the welcome given by the many flower planters as well as by the hosts made a great impression.. The full Scottish breakfast was a real treat! I would... More

I have now stayed at the Glenure on 3 occasions and it has been a pleasure every time. My friends and I all rated the great full Scottish breakfast 10/10. Quality and cleanliness is exceptional and it is reasonably priced. You can't go wrong here. There are superb restaurants within walking distance. We will be back.

We stopped overnight 14th October '13. Our Booking was reserved from the local Tourist Office in Dumfries on our arrival. We were made very welcome and our bedroom was very comfortable, clean, neat, tidy and nicely furnished with everything we needed and more. Our hosts, Freda and John were very charming and helpful. Our breakfast was more than generous. Off... More

Yet again, a most enjoyable stay. Have stayed here many times. John & Freda are very friendly. Accommodation is spotless, homely & very welcoming. Cooked breakfast highly recommended. Excellent value. Only a short walk/drive to the shopping centre & local restaurants & amenities. Will definitely stay again & would highly recommend.
