A lovely old building next to Dumfries station, the hotel was very good value for money. Comfortable, serviceable rooms, very friendly staff and a substantial breakfast. Not right in the thick of things but I don't know if that is such a bad thing in Dumfries. The neighbourhood around the hotel was very pleasant for walking around.

We stayed 1 night here and found it to be very nice, room was lovely and clean & quiet even though the railway was outside the window.We had dinner & breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed, the food was excellent! Staff very friendly, would definitely stay here again.
