Visited the Carrutherstown Hotel for the umpteenth time for a short break at the end of last week. The welcome we received made us feel we are almost part of the family. Great company, excellent food, comfortable accommodation, pleasant regulars in the bar and good beer to boot! We'll be back in the not too distant future.

My partner and I went for our dinner only because we could not be bothered to cook at home. We had a starter of filled potato skins with salad and chilli side sauce followed by the home made steak pie. We could not manage a sweet as we were full up by then, but had a drink in the bar... More

We stayed here for a wedding close by and it was just what we needed. The rooms are fresh, the beds are comfortable and the owners and locals are friendly and welcoming. Would not hesitate to stay again if in the vicinity.
