We loved that in-the-middle-of-nowhere farm where we spent one night in April 2013. The apartment we stayed in was great for us 5. The children even got to feed the pet lambs. Dinner was excellent, if somewhat overpriced. But that is of little weight given the friendliness of the owners.

Just come back from 10 days in the wonderful Dumfries countryside staying at this lovely, clean and well equiped farmhouse. Hosts Zan and Joe are welcoming, very informative on local events, venues and places to walk and visit. Room was warm, clean with a great view (even in 2ft of snow), a really powerful shower. Breakfast is fantastic, all you... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and we could not fault it. The family made us feel very welcome. The room, food and location are spot on. There is plenty to do in the area from lovely walks, biking, nature watching and local history. We had an evening meal there all farm cooked and it was great. Well signposted from... More

Lovely B&B Farmhouse, stayed in The Cheese Room during our trip to Scotland mountain biking. Lovely rooms, great bathroom and really powerful, hot shower. Situated in rolling hillsides, the views are beautiful, especially from the conservatory. Zan our hostess lays on cakes, biscuits and tea for us when we get back from our rides. Plus breakfast in the farmhouse kitchen... More

Lovely friendly homely place to stay with great cake! I was staying on my own and meeting up with friends on a shooting trip. I had a nice stay and was looked after very well with tea and cake offered to me every day. The location was ideal for me.

Spent 5 days visiting the 7 Stanes mountain bike centres, well worth the pilgrimage. Nice to come back to a warm and cosy house with plenty of hot water! Lovely food, didn't need any lunches. Made to feel very welcome and it was interesting to stay on a working farm, and importently with working wood burner in lounge. Plenty to... More

We’ve just had a great time staying in the Cheese House (self contained accommodation with breakfast in the farmhouse). It was our 4th visit to Low Kirkbride Farm and as usual our reception was very warm and welcoming. On arrival our hosts greeted us with hot drinks and delicious home baking. The accommodation was super, clean, warm and more than... More

we've just spent four days with the kirk family on their lovely farm where we were given a very warm welcome. The room was cosy and comfortable and each day on our return we were given real coffee and delicious home made cakes. What a lovely place to BE. Warm, friendly welcoming people and accommodation. Excellent breakfasts, welcome tea and homemade cake in the afternoon, and as for the evening meals!!! Woodburning stove in the sitting room. Lots of tea and REAL coffee in the bedroom, plus an extremely comfy bed. Do go!

My wife and I are just back from a four night stay at Low Kirkbride Farm. What a fantastic location, where we were made really welcome by the Kirk family. Our room looked out over the garden to the fields beyond with the trees in splendid autumn colours. The fields were populated with the attractive Belted Galloway cattle and a... More
