This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed at. The location is fantastic, backing out on to beautiful Selkirk Common where we walked our dog safely off-lead for a few hours. Our room was very comfortable and well stocked with everything you could need. Breakfast was delicious. Best of all, The Croft is genuinely dog friendly. Your dog... More

Great b&b, lovely hostess, who was helpful and attentive to detail, down to the view from the breakfast table, to local information and a very nice breakfast. Very clean, spacious room with windows front and back and en-suite. The house connects with the common, a wild area criss-crossed with paths, great for stretching your legs or walking the dog. It's... More

We had two very comfortable nights in April and enjoyed a good breakfast each morning with plenty of choice on the menu. Clean, cozy, a lovely setting with a babbling brook and lots of birdlife to watch in the gardens and excellent hosts - Jean is so obliging. Slightly out of town but that makes no difference really - it's... More

We spent 2 nights in this lovely B&B - clean, friendly and a delicious breakfast. How nice to find such a doggie friendly place to visit, with safe walks, biscuits and water dishes all provided. A perfect base for touring the lovely Borders area.

We recently had a one night break at The Croft, and this is a really outstanding B&B! The room was modern, immaculate, very clean and had an extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and very well prepared. Owners are the most friendly and helpful people. Highly recommended! In our opinion this is one of the best B&B's in whole Scotland!... More

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. The reason I do B&B is that I enjoy meeting people who come to stay for all sorts of different reasons and I found your Scottish Castle project very interesting and informative. More

This is the second time we've stopped off for an overnight stay and Jean's hospitality is still as wonderful! She obviously thoroughly enjoys welcoming visitors into her lovely home and can't do enough to make your stay comfortable! Clean, warm, delicious breakfast, lots of personal touches and attention to detail makes it hard to beat as a base for exploring... More

All the routine mechanical bits of what a good B&B should be are in place, clean, warm, welcoming, nice breakfast, but what I remember with most warmth and gratitude is how obliging Jean was when my already inconvenient plans became yet more complicated. That's the sort of thing that marks a place and I heartily recommend this one. I confess... More

Very homely place to stay. Jean provided us with a pot of some of the best coffee we have had at a B&B on our arrival, and the breakfast was of very high quality. A little too far out of Selkirk to walk to town comfortably but the location is lovely. We had the view of a little waterfall out... More

We stopped off for a night, and Jean was very welcoming to our family of 6 and dog. We had both bedrooms and the living room to ourselves, and loved the little extras provided, such as a dog bowl full of water for the dog. Great walks right from the door step. Amazing breakfast, with a particularly delicious fruit salad.... More
