We stayed here for one night on 28.12.2014. Although the location is a bit remote the Inn is wondefully friendly . Food choice and portions are great and the cosy log fire in the bar made staying there chatting delightful.

We called last minute to see if there was space for our party of 10 as lots of pubs in the area were shut. They were extremely accommodating with the 4 children that we had and the food was amazing and service was great. Very reasonably priced. Would defiantly recommend.

Four of us stayed at this charming coaching inn for one night this past weekend. Both rooms were immaculate with excellent facilities. We had a late lunch on arrival, a mixture of sandwiches and toasted ciabattas. Evening meals when we finally recovered from the huge portions were magnificent, beautifully cooked and presented. The welcome we experienced from Margaret and her... More

Had a lovely 2 night stay with my sister. Lovely host Margaret who owns it. Comfy bed, first class food. You definitely need a car as secluded. Drove to Hawick and Kelso which are lovely towns. No mobile reception but free WiFi. Inn itself is very homely and quaint. Gorgeous log fire although gets very hot quickly! Keys the pub... More

My wife and I had a nice 2 night Groupon stay here earlier this week. The welcome was warm and friendly with Margaret and her staff proving to be excellent hosts. The food was good and generously portioned. Needless to say, we would return for another stay if visiting the area again.

Popped in for some lunch, did not stay at the inn. The inn is dog friendly. The bar staff were friendly. The soup was really nice as was the main courses, none of my party had a complaint. Would return if in that area again :)

My wife and i visit Scotland regularly and we go to the Cross Keys Inn to partake of the very good food of which i would highly recommend especially the soups, the main course and not forgetting the sweets we could not find anything wrong with any of the Chef's meals and the staff could not be more pleasant well... Can't believe all the positive reviews. This hotel is not fit for purpose. The welcome was non- existant. There was no choice at breakfast, full Scottish only and on our first morning it was totally overcooked and dry. Dinner was greasy pub grub at ridiculously high prices. Night 1 they ran out of fish. Night 2 they unbelievably ran out... More

An unexpected turn of events meant my wife and I having to cancel our 10 day AI vacation in Cala D'or, Mallorca. We could however book a short notice 3 night break in the Scottish Borders using a Groupon deal staying at the Cross Keys Hotel, Ettrickbridge near Selkirk. The 200 year old pub had a comfortable feel and served... More
