Had a nice meal here. Nice welcome by train staff and nothing was too much trouble for them. Even let the father in law play the piano!!!!! It you want good pub food then this is a go to place. I would definitely return and would have the steak again :)

We had a two day break which we very much enjoyed. The staff were very friendly, helpful and extremely welcoming. Our late Sunday lunch was really good and the full Scottish breakfast was good too. The rooms were very traditional which we like and we spotted a room with a four poster bed though we liked our room at the... More

Just had our 2nd visit to cross keys for family meal while in the area at the caravan. We have visited both times with our children aged 10 and 7 and had lovely meal, good honest pub food, freshly prepared and lovely friendly welcome, would highly recommend.

Don't go to this Inn hoping for a calm and relaxing break. They have a dog that NEVER stops barking and they never go out to shut it up. They have made it dog friendly but cannot keep their own dog under control.Ruined my stay and will not be going back.

We went to the Cross Keys last weekend with another couple for a bit of break. Ettrickbridge is a bit out of the way but with very pleasant & dramatic countryside. The Inn was great! Margret the landlady was very welcoming & so was the open fire. There was a real country pub feel to the place. The people in the... More

We stayed for two nights and loved it. Super room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals were very good, with a good choice, excellent quality and generous portions. The bar was nice and the beer excellent. Dog friendly.

Nice welcome, friendly staff, let down by mediocre lunch, potatoes must be in short supply, Half a one with roast pork plus yorkshire with sausages, ? Watery gravy.Meat just cooked. Expensive, compared to others in the area.

Well, we might have guessed that the food was not up to much when we were the only dining guests on a Friday night!!! The whiteboard didn't exactly sing 'quality' either. And when there is a wide range on offer and the place is dead that only means one thing - freezer. Yes we were right. We chose nachos and... More

We went on a Groupon deal. We could not have been made more welcome. Margaret and Jane very friendly, the food was great and a wide and varied choice. Room very comfortable we had room 1 with a four poster bed. We can certainly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning soon.

Stayed for three nights with friends, had a great time. Lovely large rooms, ( ours had a four poster bed). All usual facilities. Dog friendly. Maybe could do with a lick of paint and some new curtains but I understand that it's work in progress. May be the down side was the water was very very hot and difficult to... More
