What is not to love when faced with perfection - Malcolm, our host and chef, Morag the guard dog, rooms with sitting areas graced with beautifully done beds, elegant fabrics, heated bathroom floors, treats awaiting in your room -- and breakfast, yum!! Not only delicious and unusual cuisine but special local accompaniments introduced by Malcolm that you want to add... More

Malcolm is the perfect host. He has thought of everything when constructing the rooms. The room contained everything one would need for a short stay. Malcolm presents a broad 5 star breakfast and with a bit of coaxing will share his recipes. If you haven't stayed at Kingsmuir then you have missed being treated like royalty. I intend to return.

We enjoyed a fabulous 2 night stay in this beautiful house. All the awards and accolades are so well deserved and well earned. You know you are indulging in luxury when you have an ice bucket and champagne glasses by the bath. Everything is just perfect and so well thought through and executed - down to the smallest detail. Lovely... More

We don't look upon Kingsmuir House as a bed and breakfast, We consider it to be more like one of the "Small luxury hotels of the world" From the luxury suites and the utterly delicious food and most importantly, Malcolm, the most incredible host, all make Kingsmuir truly special. It is no wonder that it has been voted the best... More

I can't state how amazing this B & B is, you simply have to book and visit. The suits are perfect and so clean and highly finished. Malcolm's hospitality and welcome is second to none. Kingsmuir House is a diamond set in the fantastic Scottish countryside. The attention to detail with handmade shortbread and chocolates shows Malcolm and his family... More

Loved the Haystoun Suite for summertime and longer stays - even when Bonigton is more cosy in cold seasons. Both feel absolutly "right" for us! Depends on the householder Malcolm an his great wife "in the back": Karen. Thanks so much for your hospitaly! Your "naughty" guests :-) Franz & Katrin

If I could rate this lovely B&B with 10 stars, I would! It is truly the most beautiful, comfortable, inviting B&B we have ever stayed in! Malcolm is a wonderful host and made us feel like old friends coming for a visit! And his porridge is the best I have ever had,not to mention the full Scottish breakfast was a... More

Not a lot more can be said about this wonderful B&B other than our sincere thanks and gratitude to Malcolm [& Morag - head of security] for all his efforts, hard work and dedication to providing an outstanding level of service. We certainly intend to return and heartily recommend that you too, pay Malcolm a visit.
