We have visited Kingsmuir House on a number of occasions now and each time we have been wowed by Malcolm's warm welcome, fabulous food and his caring attention to detail. He really is a one off and truly adds value to your stay. The 2 rooms are exceptional and extremely relaxing. On the day of departure, we always say, when... More

Found this jewel of a place when visiting Peebles for the Tour of the Borders cycle. The event had an early start but Malcolm was up at ridiculous o'clock to make our breakfast for us with a smile on his face and encouraging words. As with other reports, cannot speak too highly Malcolm and this excellent B and B which... More

Our second visit to Kingsmuir in two years was much the same as the first - luxurious, peaceful, welcoming, friendly and restful. I really could not praise the job Malcolm does enough, nothing is too much trouble to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We've booked again for next year...........enough said?

I recently spent 3 nights in the Haystoun Suite at Kingsmuir House and had the most amazing stay. This is not my first stay at Kingsmuir House and I am never disappointed when I stay here. I could write pages about how much I enjoy my visits, but I will try to keep it brief. First, the location is an... More

We had a 3 night break at Kingsmuir House & it was perfect in every way. We were looking for a special place to celebrate our anniversary & this certainly fulfilled & exceeded our wishes. Kingsmuir House may be classified as a B & B, but it is much more than that - rather 'suites with fine dining'. We particularly... More

We stayed at Kingsmuir House again a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic time, this time in the Bonnington Suite. Malcolm again made me my porridge at 5:30am on the Sunday in readiness for a cycle sportive, but the full breakfast the following morning was superb, as was our Sunday dinner - roast beef and all the trimmings.... What is not to love when faced with perfection - Malcolm, our host and chef, Morag the guard dog, rooms with sitting areas graced with beautifully done beds, elegant fabrics, heated bathroom floors, treats awaiting in your room -- and breakfast, yum!! Not only delicious and unusual cuisine but special local accompaniments introduced by Malcolm that you want to add... More

Malcolm is the perfect host. He has thought of everything when constructing the rooms. The room contained everything one would need for a short stay. Malcolm presents a broad 5 star breakfast and with a bit of coaxing will share his recipes. If you haven't stayed at Kingsmuir then you have missed being treated like royalty. I intend to return.

We enjoyed a fabulous 2 night stay in this beautiful house. All the awards and accolades are so well deserved and well earned. You know you are indulging in luxury when you have an ice bucket and champagne glasses by the bath. Everything is just perfect and so well thought through and executed - down to the smallest detail. Lovely... More
