A lovely hotel in beautiful grounds in peaceful surroundings with just 13 rooms. Our family stayed in 2 well appointed rooms which were at the top of the hotel, one was quite light and airy with 3 windows, but the second just had 1 window in the main room so was quite a bit darker. The views from the rooms... More

Nearly a four star but something not quite there for me. Nice rooms and good restaurant but something indefinable missing. We had a comfortable stay but wouldn't return. Set in lovely grounds with great views. Great for weddings probably. Needs a bit of refurb. Decor in our room was odd.

My husband and I were married at Cringletie in mid-August and we truly cannot give enough compliments about the hotel and staff. My mother-in-law and best friend stayed at Cringletie for the event and all of their rooms were lovely. One of my husband's best friends stayed in a cottage on the grounds and though I did not see it... More

Dinners were one of lesser memories of school. Bland food, a distinct lack of service and, generally, vast disarray the likes of which rivals the Serengeti migration. My lunch at the Cringletie House was, in these respects, quite nostalgic. Joining us outside were two other families; the hotel also hosted a birthday party which commandeered the conservatory with its mismatched... More

Cringletie house was the wedding venue for my sister - it was a perfect day from start to finish. Jeremy and staff went out of there way to ensure everything ran smoothly - nothing was a problem for them at all! Beautiful venue and the rooms were gorgeous.

We visited on Sunday see as it was a nice afternoon we figured we could sit on the lawn, after sitting for a while we then went I to reception to order , however no afternoon tea left so we asked if we could have sandwiches perhaps cheese/chicken and ham so I went back out to the garden to wait... We stayed the one night in this beautiful, quirky house. It's set in it's own grounds with pleasant walks and a kitchen garden. The rooms are amazing. A great deal of thought and effort has gone in to making this hotel such a lovely place to stay. The food was excellent, with canapes served in the sitting room before going... More

We were here to celebrate a significant milestone event. Jeremy Roche and his staff did as much and more to make our stay memorable including an upgrade from Jnr Suite to the full Selkirk suite. Special floral arrangement at dinner and a very warm welcome every day. Book the junior suite especially the turret rooms or the full suite. Worth... More

We were given the opportunity to have lunch on a 1 for 1 offer and jumped at the chance, knowing from past experience just how good the chef is here. Although termed a bar lunch, we ate in the beautiful dining room upstairs and enjoyed a wonderful three course meal, each course delightfully presented. The food was of the highest... More
