Attended a friends wedding here on 29th December. A stunning little hotel, fantastic food and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and friendly which added to the experience. A great venue which made a special event even more so!!

We booked a 3 night stay for Hogmanay, to meet up with friends. The food was second to none, the room was large and warm, the bed being enormous and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the building and surroundings were fantastic. We took part and loved all the various entertainments over the Hogmanay period, but... More

Attended an all day wedding here in December and stayed overnight. What a day!! From the service in the well decorated conservatory to the meal in the beautiful dining room with painted ceiling and the evening reception terrific. Well organised and Managed - friendly attentive staff - food, lost for words (not like me!) - could go on and on... More

We popped into Cringletie House recently on our way back from Peebles to Edinburgh, for a bar lunch. The hotel, set in its own grounds, is a very attractive old building, and we were shown upstairs to a very nice dining room next to the hotel bar. There was only one other party having lunch that day, so it was... More

We had our exclusive wedding at the Cringletie on the 10th December 2015. Jeremy (GM) and his team were exceptional in helping us plan and prepare for our big day. The warm reception of the staff on the day before the wedding made us feel relaxed in the knowledge that every detail was in order. The beauty of the hotel... More

As the title suggests, we were here for a wedding reception. The hotel, which is invisible from the road, looks amazing and our room was very good. On the top floor with window seats and a huge bathroom. My Dad's room had a small turret. We arrived the day before the wedding and the family had a meal in the... More

Our booking was for an overnight stay and a tasting menu of 7 courses and wine. The hotel itself is very nice and clean and the room we stayed in was great. Unfortunately the courses for the tasting menu were so small (like bite-size!) we had to order extra bread rolls we were so hungry. The wine measures were also... More

Wild weather, but a very warm welcome at Cringletie House. Biscuits for our whippets on arrival (they were very impressed!). We had the Traquair room: wooden floors, beautiful decor, spacious, warm, lovely bathroom and complementary whiskey! Roaring fires, pleasant grounds, very amenable staff, great food and lots of nooks and crannies to while away the hours chatting with friends we... More

Wonderful small luxury hotel (13 bedrooms) in pleasant grounds with a walled garden just outside of Peebles. Very comfortable quiet double bedroom with small sofa and en suite, very comfortable bed, duck/goose down duvets and pillows but blankets are provided on request, good views from the windows.
