We stayed at this charming and comfortable B&B for a few nights as it was handy for the nearby Borders Hospital. Cosy and clean room and a fantastic on the spot cooked breakfast in the morning, Brian was a great host. Highly recommended.Great value

Could not fault our stay.Charming accommodation in a comfortable room with attractive decor and large, modern shower room. Our hosts were warmly welcoming;breakfast was delicious with a wide range of tasty food.Should go on "4 in a Bed" as they would certainly win!

Dunfermline House is a small and comfortable B&B located right in the heart of Melrose just steps from the abbey. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. While our room overlooked the street there was negligible noise during the night. A cooked breakfast is provided and was excellent. I do wish there had been some heat in our room... More

The B&B is located adjacent to the Abbey and the start of the St Cuthberts Way. The rooms were clean and quite comfortable. This was the only B&B that we stayed in that offered a breakfast special. This is a nice touch and makes this place somewhat special. I strongly recommend the B&B.

It was my fifth visit to Scotland. This accommodation was the best one I ever had. A wonderful room, verry kind owner, excellent breakfast and an outstanding price-performance ratio. A good starting point to discover the scottish borders. 10 points if possible,

Very well located almost opposite the Abbey in this lovely little Borders town. The room was excellent: very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing: that pancake stack carried me up a big hill at the start of the St Cuthbert Way. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for 2 nights, one at each end of our walk along St Cuthbert's Way. The welcome was friendly and the room was clean, well maintained and had a lovely view over the garden with the Eildon Hills rising in the distance. The stay was peaceful. Breakfast had a good range of choices, with the hot food being... More

We spent a night in Melrose in order to visit Melrose Abbey, Abbotsford (Sir Robert Scott's old home), Scott's View and Dryburgh Abbey. Melrose is a lovely small town and Dumfermline House is a very nice and comfortable B&B at a good price. Melrose is definitely worth a stop and Dunfermline is an excellent place to stay with a nice... More
