Lovely spot with in walking distance of Melrose Abby. I had a room on the top floor with a nice view of the landscape. Lovely breakfast, helpful people. I would definitely recommend Braidwood with two caveats. One, my ensuite bath did not have a shower, only a tub, and , although the hot water and the soak was nice, I... More

Excellent location, clean room and extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious! One small concern: the wifi service was spotty - hard to establish a good connection at times. This should not be a problem for most guests.

Fed up from work and needing a short break We recently booked into Braidwood at short notice with friends for a weekend walking trip and from the moment of booking we were impressed by the quality of service. When enquiring we asked for 2 en suite double rooms . The hosts then took some time to explain to us that... More

Stayed over on Saturday night as attending friends wedding. Nice welcome, twin room ideal, spotlessely clean and quality breakfast. Would like to stay here again to explore Borders on foot and on bike!

We booked two rooms - one for ourselves and one for my elderly parents. We were in the attic room which others have mentioned is mostly restricted height and is up a steep flight of stairs - not at all suitable for the elderly infirm or very drunk! We soon developed a radar though and the room was very charming... More

My wife and I completed the St Cuthberts Way walk and stayed here before our return home the next day. This was probably the best value B&B. Breakfast was good and the location in the town was ideal. We love Monrose.

I arrived in Melrose just too late to check out accommodation through the Tourist Information office, which had just closed for the day. Thankfully, I caught the TI assistant as she was leaving and asked if she could point me in the direction of a couple of places, Braidwood was the 1st one she mentioned and also the nearest so... Spent a night at Braidwood recently and it was everything the reviews previously indicated. Service excellent, room really nice and lovely breakfast the next morning. Was cycling the Tweed Cycle route and both my friends and our bikes were looked after. Recommend this wee gem of a place, Melrose was lovely too, definitely recommend this area to explore. Very reasonable... More

I spent four nights at Braidwood in Melrose. No doubt, I shall remember these days for a long time to come. Melrose itself is perhaps one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The scenic beauty is breath-taking. Wide expanses of greenery, farms by the roadside scattered around a modern bustling town with friendly townspeople make this a... More

We went to Braidwood in February. OK Scotland in February is not the warmest of places but the room I was given at the top of the house was a converted attic room, right under the roof. The heating was switched on as I entered the room in the evening, so it took some time to warm up - ditto... More
