Lynwwod Cottage is a is a real gem of a place, set in lovely peaceful surroundings ten minutes walk from the centre of Hawick. Margaret and David are such great folk and make you feel instantly at home in their wonderful home. If you are looking to visit the Scottish Borders this is the place, why they only have four... We arrived on friday evening to a warm welcome from David our host and shown to our lovely suite comprising of a sitting/dining room, private bedroom with dressing room en-suite with every possible extra available to us. The breakfast the following morning was amazing cooked to perfection with local produce at a time of our choice. The garden & surrounding... More

This is not your ordinary B&B. I have traveled all over the world and have to say the two suites that are offered are of the same pedigree of any 5 star hotel anywhere. The genuine warmth and open welcome that Dave and Maggie give their guests is simply wonderful. A flash back to a simpler and smaller world where... More

I have stayed here a few occasions over the years and have brought different friends and family members. No one is failed to be impressed with the accomadation and the hosts. So clean, so well equipped and hosts who cannot do enought for you. Homemade shortbread and snowballs to go with your cuppa, quality toiletries available for ur use and... More

Even before we had arrived at Lynnwood we knew we were going to enjoy the stay as Maggie (the owner) was keen to make sure she was in to receive us and ensured this with a courteous phone call to us the day before. We were allocated the upstairs accommodation which was spacious, homely and spotlessly clean. In the bedroom... More

I travel a lot with dogs, who have always been very well behaved. I like staying in a top rated hotels or cottages. I work hard and it is a treat. Never B&B. Lynnwood was amazingly inexpensive. The breakfast all that could possibly be asked for. Compared to the inedible salt breakfast I had from a Michelin chef. There is... More

We arrived after a few hours travelling towards Scotland and were delighted with our accommodation. For a bed and breakfast it was so spacious with use of a luxury bathroom, sitting room and bedroom. The furnishings were lovely, clean and fresh. We were travelling with our two dogs and fortunately we had a bed for them as I would hated... More

Lynnwood cottage B&B, I can't say enough about it. we were booked into this wonderful B&B during our walking trip in the Scottish Borders. Even though we had only been booked into one room (which was actually a suite of 2 rooms plus an elegant full bath) our hostess, Maggie, asked my sister if she wouldn't rather have a room... More

Maggie and David go the extra mile to make guests comfortable and welcome. They treated us so well on our first visit in 2009 that we returned in 2013. Both rooms have plenty of nice touches, both for comfort and convenience. The sense of privacy is heightened by having a separate entrance per room and by the B&B being set... More

This B&B is terrific. You have a friendly couple who run it, a whole suite to kick around in and the best breakfast I've ever had in a B&B. You get a private suite, a boggling array of towels, lounge/dining area, bathroom and comfortable bedroom. Maggie treated us like royalty and gave us tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival. She...
