We stayed here on a 1night stay, dinner, breakfast deal. At the price, this was good value for what is an attractively situated hotel ~1 mile from Hawick town centre. The property only has 16 rooms, ours and three others were in the basement so our view consisted of car axles in the parking area above. I would imagine that the... More

Spent Saturday night here with some friends. Rooms were good. spacious, and comfortable. Food on the whole was good, and value for money. My only complaint was that the outside windows in our bedroom were so dirty you could not see out of them.

We have eaten here often and food and service have always been ok. Three of us arrived last night at 8.25pm. I asked at bar (where only one table was occupied with two others drinking) wheter it was ok to order meal as they finish serving at 8.30pm. I was astoinished to be told that I could not get a... Clearly understaffed but available staff very friendly. Reception area very untidy for the want of a filing cabinet. No complementary shower/bath items on arrival. Complementary refreshments not adequately replenished each day. Our room (7) which, according to staff was 'one of our best rooms' had a TV relocated from a wall mounting to the dressing table but was still plugged-in... More

Stayed 2 nights on a DBB package with Easy Breaks. From the minute we arrived to departure the staff could not do enough for us. Dinner menu was limited. Presentation and taste were perfect. Service was professional and friendly. Breakfast was served in the same fashion. No fruit available was the only fault I can make. Room was large and... More

Stayed for two nights on an excellent deal for dinner, bed and breakfast. Nice room with lovely views. Hotel is understaffed which causes delays in service but the staff are all very friendly and hardworking. Meals were excellent with plenty of choice. Everywhere was clean and tidy but could do with a bit of TLC in some areas. Would definitely... More

We enjoyed our stay here. A lovely location. A substantial and beautiful Scottish house converted to a hotel. It is well-furnished throughout and not big and impersonal. We had a DB&B package and the dinner menu was very limited and unimaginative but they readily agreed to let us order from the excellent a-la-carte menu and just pay a supplement. The... More

We got an excellent deal for two nights DBB here, the food was fantastic, also one of the best breakfasts I've had, comfortable, clean rooms, nice quirky hotel - all in all we had a really pleasant stay here on an excellent value for money deal and I'd recommend it. It's also well located for drives out around the borders... More
