We returned to Clovenfords this year due to enjoying our visit so much first time round. On visit number one, although the rooms were a little tired and needed some attention, the bed linen was spotless.A warm welcome was given from all staff and the food in restaurant excellent. Our 2nd visit however was not as expected...(unfortunately). Rooms were not ready... More

I have stayed here many times over the last 18 months and have seen Clovenfords improve over this time. The new owners have worked really hard to make this clean, warm, and comfortable with good food and free WiFi. I don't have a reason to even think of looking for anywhere else when I am in the area. The single... More

We recently stayed overnight here and were made to feel most welcome by the staff, who were especially friendly. It's in a good location and was easy to find with good parking. The accommodation and decor was slightly tired, especially on the landing and corridor but our room was clean and comfortable. Shower hot but lacking in pressure. Food, both... More

Clovenfords has the nicest people on staff that I've ever met and the location was impossible to miss. The room was clean and quiet, with a large lovely bed, and awesome bedding. The bar had a good selection of whisky, and the kitchen provided a fantastic breakfast. We were passing through for only one night, but we would definitely recommend... More

This is a lovely looking restaurant - beautifully decorated and the two young girls waitressing were excellent, especially the Irish girl. This place could be fantastic but there was just too many mistakes when it came to the food. It is also very good value - three courses each, two large glasses of wine and a pint cost £59. We...
