Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for one night, as we were visiting friends in Galashiels. The room was great value for money, and the b&b is in a great location with everything in walking distance. After a late night out, it was lovely to come back to a nice, homely guest room and comfortable bed, and after a few... More

Many thanks for a very comfortable stay when we were in the area last weekend. The welcome and hospitality was much appreciated. For the cyclist, the roads in the area are amongst the best we've ridden and still lots more to explore. The mountain biking is pretty good too!

This was a very comfortable place to stay. Good breakfast and very handy for the town. I was visiting my parents and found this was ideal. The lady was very friendly and the room although not big had everything I needed even chocolate biscuits!

Two of us stayed here as part of a 220 mile bike ride so what we really needed was a warm welcome and a comfy bed, and we got both in spades. Really nice cosy room, en-suite, free (working!) wifi (take that Premier Inn) and a really nice breakfast. On top of all that the price was really reasonable

Stayed one night whilst walking the Southern Upland Way and really liked this B&B. Nice room, not big but with a great view. The owner is really nice and welcoming offering a great selection for breakfast including herb teas and yoghurt and there were lots of little extras such as health bars and Tunnocks cakes- very much appreciated and ideal... Stayed here just for the one night and it was everything we wanted.A friendly reception from the owner who advised us on places to dine that evening. We followed her advice and had a very good meal at Quins. Free parking outside ,a comfortable room and best of all a very quiet nights sleep. In the morning a very good cooked... More

Booked a twin room for just one night as part of a 220 mile bike ride. Hadn't done much research and just saw it as a bed for the night...however I was really pleased by the whole experience. The owner was really friendly from the outset and could not do enough for us. We arrived a little later than expected... More

We stayed here while visiting friends in Galashiels. Craigielea was easy to find and we were made to feel very welcome on arrival. Our room was comfortable and had everything that we needed. I've seen another review describe Craigielea as a home from home and we fully agree with this! Breakfast was superb - lovely and fresh, great coffee and... More

As a doctoral student in English dialectology and sociolinguistics, I need to carry out fieldworks to be able to collect interesting data for my research. Finding a B&B is necessary to work in good conditions and Craigielea is without a doubt a nice place to stay. I spent a month there in 2012. Breakfasts were quite good and the room... More
