I like to judge B&B's not only by the home but the hosts. Hugh and Wendy were a delight and took every care to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Our room was smaller than we would have liked but was just fine. The place is a little dated but was in very good shape. We had... More

We were given the downstairs room which was a twin and very cramped but, we were only in the room for a short time . Everything was clean and tidy tea/coffee etc breakfast was very plentiful and owners could not have been more helpful. Easy to walk into town (downhill) views very good close enough to walk to mccaigs tower

B & B indeed the downstairs room is very cramped I agree with other reviewers, the other couple with us had a lovely upstairs room, maybe it would be an idea to make the downstairs room a single! Or to take out the actual tiny toilet and sink and make the room more spacious. Wendy was a great host and... More

After reading the reviews for this establishment I was fairly confident I would be not disappointed. However we were put in a downstairs room ( other rooms may be better - I did not see them ) which was very cramped with 2 single beds and just enough room to move around them. A dressing table next to the window... More

We stayed here in the beginning of June whilst touring Scotland. Very friendly welcome and excellent breakfasts. Room was comfortable and very clean. Our hosts gave us helpful information about the area.

We were 7 adults aged from 43 to 62 on 5 motorcycles, travelling around Scotland. Glenroy as has been previously pointed out is at the top of a hill, located within walking distance of the bustling town. Yes I agree the hill is steep, with a hairpin bend on the way up that makes for interesting motorcycling. However when we... More

We had only one night at the Glenroy, but we found it everything we needed. Our room was small but incredibly comfortable (definitely needed after a long drive from Glasgow!) and Wendy and Hugh were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic and set us up perfectly for a day's exploring! We would definitely recommend staying... More

This is a great place to stay before catching an early morning ferry from Oban. Many B&Bs in Oban fail to offer much breakfast before 7:30am - I speak from long experience! But Glenroy was the first ever B&B to offer a hot bacon sandwich for our departure, plus some other breakfast stuff (yoghurt, banana, muffin etc) in a breakfast... More

My husband and I were very pleased with the newly renovated room and the delicious breakfast provided. We were just staying one night on a trip around Scotland. Wendy was cheery and a joy to talk to. Hugh's breakfast was the perfect start to the day with generous portions. My husband is a vegetarian and it was not an issue.... More
