We were travelling by campervan; with occasional B&B stops. We liked the fact that Lochvoil House was convenient for the ferry as we planned to go over as foot passengers to Lismore the day following our stop. Sheila was very welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with her. She kindly let us leave the campervan in the driveway when we went... More

Great value B&B which was clean and tidy in a very central location, within walking distance of the centre of Oban. Suited us down to the ground for our one night stay prior to catching a ferry to the Outer Hebrides. Sheila was very welcoming and accommodating with an excellent home made breakfast given our early start. I'd certainly stay... More

If you are visiting Oban, then this is the place to stay. We were here for three nights last spring. It is within easy walking distance of the town centre with it's shops and restaurants. We were warmly welcomed by Kenneth, who told us about his visit to Australia and made us feel right at home. We had a very... More

I loved our short stay at Lochvoil house, becauae Lochvoil is quite high up it has brilliant views over Oban bay, but it is still only at 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal and town. We arrived late after a long journey, We had a lovely welcoming from Sheila, she didn't mind at all that we arrived late, we... More

We loved the Lochvoil House in Oban. Sheila and Kenneth were great hosts - they cooked a full breakfast each morning and were more than helpful with ideas for day trips. Our room was large, very clean, and extremely comfortable. I'd highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Lovely lovely lovely Clean well appointed room , beautiful view, friendly, engaging and very hospitable hosts Sheila and Kenneth. The breakfast was delicious with superbly presented fresh fruit and all the trimmings followed by a carefully prepared English breakfast and a great Bodum of fresh coffee Highly recommended

An unexpected 2-day stop in Oban due to car trouble turned out to be a pleasure. Tourist Information at the Pier booked up Loch Voil House. We were worried we wouldn't be able to find a room as Oban was extremely busy. We had a lovely stay with genuinely friendly hosts, Sheila and Kenneth. The room was immaculate and the... More

We first came across in April of this year and we are so glad we did. The location of the guest house if topnotch as it is only a 5 minute stroll from Oban town centre. The guest house a an spectacular view of Oban and its harbour. The hosts Sheila and Kenneth are in my opinion the best hosts... More

We were travelling early Saturday Morning to Coll, we had not booked anywhere and I am so glad we had not. We knocked the door of Lochvoil House and we were met with a warm welcome lucky for us they had Double Room for the night. We had a very early start so would miss breakfast. Sheila did deduct the...
