A warm welcome from Simon met us as we arrived at this lovely property, including a lovely touch of a sherry decanter on our welcome tray! We were in a lovely room overlooking superb views of Oban harbour with just a short walk into the centre of Oban where there are plenty of restaurants to chose from. Simon and Anna... More

We stayed there for 5 nights whilst attending a wedding in Oban. Anna & Simon , a lovely couple, made us feel very welcome and offered to help in any way they could. Room clean and comfortable, with tea, coffee and sherry. Breakfasts' great. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in Oban because we wanted to be able to tour the islands. We wanted a central location and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We brought back a bottle of wine one evening since there were wine glasses in the room and we enjoyed it on the outside side table and watching the sunset. Such... More

Enjoyed a one night stay on our way through to Arisaig, Mallaig & Skye. The owners Simon & Anna extended a very warm welcome right from the minute we arrived. Tea & Beer was offered & eagerly accepted & served in the beautiful garden overlooking the bay. The room was comfortable, quiet and full of little homely touches from teddy... More

We stayed for just one night as part of an island hopping week in May, and were sad to leave! On arrival we were greeted warmly by Simon and given the rear bedroom as the front ones with the sea views were already taken. However, we were offered tea outside in the sun when we were ready. It was so... More

This was our second year at The Old Manse (4 adults). We were greeted by Anna and Simon like old friends. Anna promptly brought a pot of tea and warm, freshly cooked shortbread and Simon helped with the luggage. The breakfasts are delicious. All rooms were taken so there was plenty of conversation in the breakfast room and much laughter.... More

We stayed at The Old Manse before and after our trip over to South Uist. The B&B is situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of Oban and all of the bars and restaurants but on a quiet road with no noise. A 5 minute walk up the hill is McCaig's Tower with great views of the harbour... More

We stayed here before and after a week on South Uist. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Simon and Anna are naturals when it comes to taking care of guests. They are both warm, friendly and can't do enough for you. We had both a sea view room and a standard room. Both were clean with very... More

The Old Manse is a B & B set in a Victorian villa typical of many in British coastal towns; rooms are spacious and some offer wonderful views out to the isles of Kerrera and Mull, and around to the island ferry terminal. The thing that sets this guest house apart however is the couple that run it; Anna and... More

We recently visited Oban and wanted something in town walking distance from attractions and restaurants. The Olde Manse worked great! Parked the car (free parking) for a day which was a treat. Easy walk to restaurants, shops, distillery and ferry. Uphill going back, but not a problem. Simon was a great host and the breakfasts were excellent. Great view from... More
