I would like to thank Simon and Anna for making our stay at the old manse very special, our room was warm and cosy with many extras, like a small decanter of sherry, tea coffee, and hot chocolate, lovely biscuits, hair dryer, lovely white soft fluffy towels, luxurious bedding, even a teddy on the bed, breakfast was plenty of choice, ect full... We stayed at the Old Manse for 2 nights. We had the interconnecting family room which our daughters loved. Lots of little touches, like the decanter of sherry and early breakfast, and faultless attention to detail. Simon and Anna are great hosts and can suggest things to do whatever the weather.

We were given a very warm welcome by the owners, Simon and Anna. While Simon helped us with our luggage, Anna prepared drinks and biscuits for us. The Old Manse is a very comfortable guest house in an ideal location overlooking the harbour within walking distance of Oban town centre. Anna and Simon are friendly and helpful hosts who offer... We were only able to stay for one night but would have loved to stay longer. We received a warm welcome and were pleased to have been given a room with an amazing view over the harbour to the islands beyond. A beautiful place from which to watch the sun go down over the water on a warm summer evening.... More

This is a relatively short walk from the center of Oban, albeit uphill. The room we had was spacious and well equipped, with an especially large bath. Breakfast was good and the owner was helpful. It has parking, although we arrived in Oban by train. We walked, although the owner recommended a taxi the first time, since it "is difficult... More

We stayed for just two nights but wished we had booked for longer. We had such a friendly welcome and then were offered a cup of tea in the garden as it was very hot! What a treat - when we went outside we not only had a pot of tea but home-made shortbread. Our room had a brilliant view... More

We stayed with Simon and Anna who run this Bed and Breakfast place in Oban. Nice setting. It was a wonderful experience. We did not have a room with a sea view on the first day which Simon provided us the following day very efficiently. Very friendly and attentive. I ran into a back strain while at the airport in... My husband and I and my sister and brother in law stayed here last week. Our room had a fantastic sea view and my sister's room, which was booked at a later date, overlooked the bowling green. My brother in law loved that. Simon met us in the car park and took our cases and Anna made us pots of... More

We (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed for 3 nights in the family room (which gave the kids a separate room). We were made extremely welcome, with nothing too much trouble. The room was spotless. Breakfast was fantastic - the best choice we have ever seen and all very tasty. We even had a 'take away' breakfast when we left in... More
