A good location with parking in Oban is hard to find. On arrival we were impressed until one of our two rooms was unmade up - this was swapped immediately. The rooms were ok but could do with a bit of care over properly fitting doors, sticking down wallpaper, finding a TV remote... The bottom of the main stairs has... More

The Hotel was is a perfict location in Oban. I paid £120 per night which was very expensive. I was just up there for a wedding over the weekend. The Rooms are clean and tidy, but vey basic. Why I was up there I found there was alot of B&B about for more then half the price. Beakfast was included,... More

Terrible showers, no tea or coffee making facilities in room. Other than that ok. Rooms were clean and in good condition. Good location. Running out of comments to make, this is what is known as "padding" I believe.

Central location is good and the room was OK, except that when we arrived there were no tea and coffee making facilities, which had been advertised when we made the booking. When we queried the absence of kettle etc and said "it's shown on Booking.com as having these facilities" we were just told "well, we don't". So we were particularly... More

We stayed at the Rowantree Hotel for one night in June. The reception was warm and friendly. The initial impression of the hotel is very good and modern. The staircase leading to the accommodation floors is of a very contemporary design, which then lead you nicely to the modern rooms. The bedrooms are again, very modern in design, comfortable beds,... The Rowantree has recently been refurbished and the room was clean and comfortable. There were two chairs and a small table which makes it a comfortable place to relax without having to prop yourself up on the bed. The windows were triple glazed and the road noise was minimal. The bathroom is new and well designed however the shower was... More

This hotel is clean and tidy with a steakhouse attached and a nice snug bar as well. Breakfasts were good and staff friendly and hotel is in a good position in the town. Only gripe is that the wifi connection is hit or miss and couldn't get it at all in my room at all but enjoyed my stay and... More

I had originally booked another hotel in Oban, but they were overbooked, so they put me at the Rowantree instead. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the price was much cheaper than the original hotel. The service was very good and the food in the restaurant was also very good. Try the stick toffee pudding for dessert. All in... More
