Don't understand some of the bad reviews for this hotel. The rooms are a wee bit cramped and it's virtually impossible to get parked, not major problems. The room was nicely decorated and very clean, the jacuzzi bath was nice, staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was decent. It seems a bit over-priced to me, even at the... more

I shall try to write this review in english. We travelled 2 days from Holland to come to thei hotel . But it was the wordt thing we ever did. The lady how runs the reception, was friendly but that was all. She gave us the key for the room, but didn't show us where it was, It was like... more

clean (if small) room (though we were last-minute and probably on a cheap deal), good breakfast buffet selection. Right on the sea-front, car park a bit small but plenty nearby on the road. more

It all sounded wonderful - refurbished to a 4 star standard, super king size beds and spa baths but unfortunately it is a long way from being 4 star. The building appears to have been gutted in order to maximise accommodation and any features which may have been there are now absent. Everything is crushed together. Most of the bedrooms... more

Stayed here May 27th with three friends from Canada and was pleasantly surprised given some of the reviews on here. Under new ownership and things appear to be getting done the right way. The Good stuff. Staff were excellent. Reception staff were two young Canadians and an Aussie who were friendly, helpful and pleasant to deal with. Bar staff was... more

My partner and I stayed in this hotel in January for 2 nights. Its was the worst stay we have ever experienced, the hotel was clean, however the staff and management were rude. The bar man never smiled once and talked in an awful tone that neither of us wanted to go to the bar, the prices are also way... more

Stayed here for two nights whilst on holiday. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable although a little difficult to get to with big suitcases. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the local area. The resauarant is very good and reasonably priced. more

We have just returned form an overnight stay at The Queens Hotel ,Oban and still cannot believe the events which took place. Our bedroom backed onto a lift shaft and the walls and floors were so thin that you could hear every word spoken in the rooms next to us and below. In total we slept about 2 hours and... more

Was disapointed in the room which did not have a view, was quite small and lacking even a picture on the wall to give it a bit of cheer. Small basic TV with four channels. I didn't appreciate the receptionist's briefing on using circuit breakers to make things work in the bathroom and how to use the sink plug. The... more

We stayed for two nights. Barman useless and ignorant with a severe attitude towards paying guests. One girl was very helpful in the restaurant. Anything we asked the owner/manageress for she said it was not her job. The food in restaurant was good so it made up for the rest. We were not made welcome and felt as if we... more
