Very clean and comfortable, very scottish, excellent breakfast. Awesome location and views. Agnes is famous througout scotland and internationally, and will treat you like one of the family, scottish style, and serve you a fantastic breakfast, that will set you up for the day. I will return here time after time. more

My partner and I went to the Glenburnie for a long weekend, we arrived in the rain on a motorcycle and were able to park the bike right outside the hotel, although there was no cover for the bike, it was good to know it was well off the street. Once inside, we were met by the man in charge... more

When we arrived it was pouring, but the welcome we got made up for it Nothing was too much trouble for Graeme the owner or Agnus who was a star. The lounge was warm and cosy with a beautiful veiw . Breakfast in the lovely dinning room was the best and we were sorry our stay had to end. more

We chose it based on some TripAdvisor reviews. Sturdy Victorian building with stunning seaviews. We'd booked one night only in our brief visit to Scotland but booked to stay an extra night. My wife loved it. There's good off road parking. Our room was clean, warm, spacious and comfortable but it was the view that stunned us. This is glorious... more

Reviewer: Trip Advisor member Northumberland, UK My husband and I brought our mothers here after we had stayed for one night in May following a fabulous week spent on the island of Colonsay. We decided to return to Glenburnie as we had been impressed by the quality of the accommodation and wanted to stay in the same room again -... more

After reading the reveiws on here decided to plump for the Glenburnie. Stayed two nights in this very clean and beautiful period building, what you would expect from proprty of this age. stayed in room 10 which was a cracker, large and great views. I had read previous reviews and was warned about Agnes at breakfast...well I have to disagree.... more

We were a little apprehensive about some of the reviews of Glenburnie. It is a few minutes walk out of town on the Esplanade and our room had views out of long windows directly on the bay. The last morning we were there there were a pair of swans near the shore! (Scotland also has seagulls the size of small... more

Quiet location, fascinating waterview from spacious room, pleasant esplanade walk to town. Slept well on comfortable bed, room in need of updating but clean. Ultimately, rather impersonal for a small hotel, employees rushing to get through their work seemingly without thought of making your stay an enjoyable, welcoming experience. Met owner once at checkin over our six day stay. Quality... more

Warmly welcomed by Graeme, an unobtrusive host. Our room was on the top floor and overlooked the water. It was large and elegantly furnished in beige, black and brown--complete with a teddy bear. Huge bed, large shower. We watched the sun set and the ferries and other boats each evening. Agnes, the breakfast hostess, was a motherly delight. Breakfast was... more

We had room no. 10,which is the largest, with an awesome ocean view. I had WIFI internet access(I had to ask about it then they coughed up the code). My only complaint would be the grouchy little woman that is in charge of telling you where to sit for breakfast and take your food order.Have you seen the soup nazi on... more
