Just returned nov 09 from a 5day stay, it was amazing, couldnt fault a thing, we got the best room in the hotel, thanks sarah for honouring our request. we had one nights stay at the columba and we found it very nice indeed, the room was spotless and very comfortable. we found the staff very friendly and helpfull and we would definately stay again and for longer. the columba is well worth a visit c from glasgow more

I note that this hotel is ranked 1/6 of all hotels in Oban on Tripadvisor - that's a bit scary ! This hotel is 'ok' for the £. The newer rooms are better. We asked to moveas no shower in room, new room had new nice clean bathroom. Staff downtrodden. Hotel very tired. Breakfast ok. This hotel is ok for quick sleep before a ferry. We had a great Indian meal at The Tahaj Mahal, 5 min walk from hotel. more
