The hosts are lovely people, and the house has great views of the water. Breakfast was good, but I've had better at other B&Bs. Our party had three rooms. Two of the three were pretty comfortable. I shared a room with my daugther on the top floor the house, and it looked like it was an attic at one time... more

My Mum and I stayed at Kilchrenan House in May 2009. The B&B is an easy 10 min walk from the centre of Oban. Our twin room was very comfortable with everything we could have wished for - comfortable beds, warm room, nicely furnished - and great breakfast! Colin and Frances were very welcoming and wanting to make our stay... more

We actually stayed twice within a week at the Kilchrenan House in rooms 2 and 6 and each stay was lovely. Room 6 has a great view of the water and a comfortable bed. We appreciated the wee dram of whiskey as well as the Scottish decor (although the rooms are nicely balanced with modern design elements). Breakfast offered a... more

We stayed for 2 nights at Kilchrenan House at the start of our tour of Scotland, and really enjoyed it. Colin and his staff were very friendly and welcoming. Colin recommended a sea food restaurant for our first night, and rang and booked a table for us - the Ee-usk, which was excellent. Our room had lovely sea views and... more

We have just stayed 3 nights at the Kilchrenan. We were lucky to have the ground floor room with the large bay window. The views are stunning and the owners, very thoughtfully, left a pair of binoculars for our use. Its lovely to watch the ferries come and go. The breakfasts are lovely, cooked to perfection and the waiting staff... more

Had a three night stay at Kilchrenan in June. The hosts are friendly and good natured and the cooking is good quality with a varied range of options for breakfast which was definitely appreciated. Our room was ornately decorated in gold and crimson with both front and side views of the esplanade. The bed was an attractive feature of the... more

We have just returned from a great stay at this beautiful Guest House. Colin was very welcoming and friendly offering his guests a sherry or a ' wee dram' on arrival which was very much appreciated on a cold wet May day. The bedrooms are beautifully appointed with the most fantastic views of Oban bay. Unlike another reviewer I loved... more

We stayed at Kilchrenan House for 1 night in May 2009, in room 3 which is a double room at the back of the house i.e. no sea view! We thought this was a good place to stay. The location was excellent - a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the town centre and the ferry port,... more
