Used the restaurant only for a three course lunch. Reasonable food that is reasonably priced. Great service from friendly staff but the restaurant and toilets are in need of a lick of paint. More

Hotels in Oban are not great and this one is no different from the rest. They are all tired and poorly looked after but they are friendly :) In scotland its the necessity of a bed for the night and thats that....you wont find better...but let me know if you do though! Just back from a great weekend with friends at the Royal Hotel in Oban. The staff could not have been better. We had a themed dance on the Saturday night. got a cheap b and b deal as others have said hotel is old style ,staff friendly and helpful but wouldnt recommend you stay here .room was small and basic as was the decor in the bathroom .bar meal was just ok but breakfast was nice More
