We stayed overnight on route to tour round the highlands. Found hosts very helpful and friendly. Room clean but small especially once two cases are in the room. Our room overlooked the busy street but wasn't a worry for us. The only problem we had was a very squeaky bed so not much sleep. Great breakfast.

We just booked it for one night to catch the ferry to Mull in the morning. We have been welcomed very, very friendly and given a full brief of the rooms amenities including 30 channel TV, tea and coffee facility and free Wi-Fi. The room was clean and cosy and the bed very good. Next mornings breakfast gives a massive... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend for a couple of nights during the last week of June, had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed staying at this guesthouse. The room was great, a good size, clean and had all the amenities (tea/coffee, toiletries, tv etc) you would expect. The food was fantastic and the location was extremely handy for everything in... We found this charming B & B on line the night before as we were touring round Scotland. It was lovely, very friendly, lovely room and great breakfast. Only issue was that there was no parking outside, we used a public car park across the road, but not a huge problem. as we are bikers we like to be able... More

We had a two night break at Lagganbeg and have to say we really enjoyed it. A really nice, quirky wee place. The rooms (well our room anyway) are on the small side (no wardrobe unfortunately, just hooks for your clothes so be selective about what you take) but it's got everything you need and it's really clean, which I'm... Stayed here two nights with my girl friend in Room four (top floor to the left) from the 19th to the 21st June while in Oban. Short taxi ride with all our bags from the train station. Easy to spot with a large sign in blue. Outside is an adorable little plastic bird sculpture which tweets every time you pass... More

My wife and I had a wedding anniversary break in Oban in May, where we stayed in Lagganbeg guest house. We like our 'little breaks' to Oban and have been visiting for the past 5 years. We have stayed in three different hotels and four different guest houses and Lagganbeg topped them all. It's nicely located, well furnished (bit old... More

Stayed here with friends from Canada. It's well done, clean and comfortable. The rooms are not particularly spacious.....probably because of the addition of ensuites......but fine nevertheless. George, mine host, is an informative sort of bloke.....always got something to say and very helpful. The breakfasts are a bit different from the usual, in that there are a lot of options with... The breakfasts and decor are delightful, and it's an easy walk down to the shops, eateries, and harbor. You do have to go down the street to park your car (we didn't use one) and watch the ocean, but those weren't issues for us. We had an ensuite room and a king bed, and some would find it a little...
