We enjoyed our stY I this somewhat quirky B&B in Oban. the location was good the room was small but well presented and comfortable. Overall good value for money. Parking was available on the street. The host was friendly. Obliging and. Dry helpful in terms of paces to go and things to see.

We spent 3 comfortable nights at Lagganbeg, which is located 5 minutes from the centre of town. We has had a car and parking in Oban is difficult and costly, but we were able to access free parking a few minutes walk from the guest house. While our room was small it was comfortable and well organised to make the... More

Very convenient location, very warm welcome with good clean facilities (and nice quirky decorations). Most EXCELLENT breakfast - the breakfast menu the most imaginative I have ever encountered; lovely fresh and stewed fruit and yoghurt; potato scones etc. They allowed us to store our suitcases as we had time to kill before travelling on. Cannot fault it.

Excellent location in Oban. About a ten minute walk to the ferries. Many restaurants nearby. This bed and breakfast is very homely with many nautical themed decorations. The rooms were comfortable and clean. For some reason, our bathroom was outside of the room but it was still private. I think other rooms were ensuite. Our hosts were extremely kind and... More

Yes it is an older style bed and breakfast and we had just previously stayed in a brand new cottage in Inverness but we were all very impressed with this accommodation. The rooms were immaculate and had everything you needed and also central and within walking distance to restaurants ,shops etc. George and Katie are a lovely couple and were... More

This was a lovely place to stay. We found it to be very quaint and homely with lots of decorations. It was clean and tidy and the rooms were a good size. The hosts were amazing, they really added to our trip. They were so helpful and kind while recommending great things to do in the area and a good... More

We stayed there for one night to be right in time for the ferry on the following day. We got a friendly welcome from George, good advice on where to park our car and where to have dinner, along with a wee chat. Eventhough our room faced the street we didn't find it too noisy, you could hear something, but... More

We arrived fairly late from Fort William and was grateful for that as the parking outside is virtually none existent, the nearest parking is around 200m away. However after having a good night in Oban during the football world cup final we were even more grateful of the quiet room requested through booking.com Breakfast was a hoot with George delivering... The bed was comfortable but the room was small and shower room quite basic. I'd asked for a quiet room so we were given the 1st floor at the back and it was indeed quiet - very fortunate really as the front is quite busy with traffic and the night we were there the roadworks gang were whitelining the road... I judge a place by asking myself "would I stay here again?" The answer for Lagganbeg Guesthouse is "no." It's location is good in a town filled with guesthouses which have good locations. It's price is similar to other guesthouses. We choose guesthouses because they should be more personal than hotels. We introduced ourselves to the lady (owner?) when we... More

On checkin I both told you where to park and gave you directions to the restaurant cuan mor which fitted your requirements as you wanted fish for dinner but didn't want to pay a lot, at no point did I ever say THAT WAY' and never use that kind of attitude with guests I simply am not that way and...
