This guesthouse has a superbe location and a very reasonable price. A very friendly welcome from the host. OK it doesn't do breakfast, but be truthful - how many of you have a full cooked breakfast first thing in the morning? We had a sea view and it was unbeatable. Room and bathroom were clean, although on the small side... More

Stayed here while on a London-Scotland-Ireland journey. The location couldn't be more perfect, situated right on the water with amazing views. The room was clean, comfortable, and had that great view of the water that can't be beat.

Very nice guest house, perfectly located in quiet area - few minutes way from the rush area in the city centre and close to Dunollie Castle. Wifi is provided. Rooms are quite clean. Fantastic sea view. Good pub is just next door. Very nice and friendly owner!

A charming place just a few minutes walk from Oban center, train and ferry terminals. I stayed one night in a single room with a view over the bay, and had a chance to see a beautiful sunset. The room was small, but comfortable and clean. The owner was friendly and helpful, even let me leave my luggage in the... More

We could not be happier with our stay at this charming hotel. The owners are friendly, warm and helpful. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The view from the from is right across the bay, gorgeous!!!! And the price was extremely reasonable!!! Excellent!!!!

I booked to stay here on the day and luckily they had a room. I arrived in Oban and didn't like the look of our original accommodation and was able to book into Ayres guest house straight away. The house is in ideal location, brilliantly priced and Brian, the owner, was fantastic. Very friendly atmosphere, no breakfast available but as... More

Location was excellent, on main street close to harbour and restaurants. Owner was very accommodating, allowing us to check in on arrival before 12. Room was comfortable with excellent view of seafront. Bathroom was very very small but fine. Wireless was very fast, allowing streaming. Quite pricey for guesthouse with no breakfast however owner did provide fresh coffee and breakfast... More

Friendly owner, great location, good value - what more do you want?! The en-suite room was comfortable and spacious and the bathroom clean and functional. The property is neat and well-maintained (although dated, like everything else in Scotland, which is part of its charm) and couldn't be closer to the local pubs and shops. Not top of the range but...
