quiet, welcoming atmosphere, generous breakfast and a high standard of cleanliness. made to feel at home and there was no charge made for our 3 year old daughter who had her own full sized bed and ate breakfast from the menu on both days.

Really lovely guest house which is well furnished and clean . The breakfast is absolutely wonderful and the proprietors are very accommodating and friendly. The location is not or the faint hearted as it is situated on a hill with a steep slope and a number of steps up yo the front door but if you can manage these is... More

As frequent visitors to Oban we were always on the lookout for a place to stay that would entice us back. The Beechgrove is that place. A lovely house situated a few minutes walk from the town centre and the rail and ferry terminals. The rooms are large and very comfortable. Our room had a double and a single bed,... More

Lovely guest house in a good location, a few minutes walk to the centre of Oban. Ample on-site parking. The only downside (for us) was that you were asked to choose breakfast from a list the previous evening and we were a little disappointed with this process and also with the breakfast.

Thank you for taking time to post a review and thought Beechgrove was a good guest house in a good location. We are sorry that you found the breakfast pre- order system not to your liking. This consists of a menu slip with seven selections of cooked breakfasts , including smoked salmon& scrambled eggs, kippers, vegetarian option, full Scottish, etc.... More

We had an excellent stay at Beechgrove. The Guest House is very comfortable and well presented. Our first floor room was large with a view over the Harbour. The proprietor, Joyce, and her husband are very friendly and helpful. We would stay again and recommend this guest house. It is a short walk to the town.

This is an excellent guesthouse, which we would recommend unreservedly. The owners are very welcoming and the place is immaculate with lots of small touches. Coffee and a range of teas are available in your room. The breakfast is generous and a to a high standard. It has its own parking, a garden and is a 5 minute walk to... More

We stayed in the family room for three nights. A bright, clean room with a good and plentiful selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate was a lovely way to start our holiday. The power shower was definitely appreciated! The breakfasts were delicious, and on the day we had to miss breakfast to go on an early boat trip, Joyce... More

We have booked ten days there in May 2013 and we have spent a lovely holiday. A really lovely guest house 10 minutes away from the pier, where you can find pups, restaurants, bars and more. You have the possibility to choose from 5 different breakfasts. The room was equipped with TV and a safe. When we should spent another... More

Our hosts were very welcoming, when we arrived early for our 2 day stay, inviting us to wait in their lovely sitting room on the ground floor. They even carried our bags! The rooms look as if they've been readied for a decorator magazine photo shoot. Ours had dramatic black and white wallpaper with cushions and artwork to match. Our... More

We stayed just two nights but could easily have doubled that, time permitting. We drove around a bit before finding the place but easy to find once there. Off street parking was welcome as were our hosts. Guesthouse was immaculate inside and out – wonderful view from our window. The room and breakfast lived up to previous reviews. My wife... More
