I stayed with the proprietors of Dunheanish when they had their first guest house in Oban some 8 years ago. Then, as now, guests are warmly welcomed and the stay is comfortable with a friendly and warm atmosphere. Nothing is too much bother and wine bottles are chilled, glasses provided and clothes dried. The house has spectacular views over the town... More

We stayed in room 4. The best room we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of rooms in a lot of countries. Enormous room, four poster bed, huge 'regal' mirror, fireplace (not on), chairs and table facing the expansive harbour views from the bay window. William was a gracious and attentive host. Smoked salmon for breakfast... More

A superb guest house with stunning views of Oban. We are made very welcome by Linda and William. Lovely rooms and the breakfast is plentiful and well cooked. Thoroughly recommend a stay there. Thanks for a great weekend. More

This is not an easy BandB to get in to. The walk up from the road in front is many steps and on a rainy day can be a little steep and could be dangerous. Parking in front of the house is an option, if you can find a spot. To park in their parking lot is crazy hard. The... More

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this guest house in Oban and would definitely return. The accommodation itself, food, hospitality and views are all great. Importantly, we thought it was excellent value for money. It is at the top of the town, but the walk up the hill from the town centre is very short. Easy hopping... More

My wife and I recently spent one night here on our trip across Scotland. The views from our room were outstanding. The room was quite large and had a four-poster bed. Service and breakfast were wonderful. Parking is a bit tight but there is parking. The walk to town is downhill and quick. The return is uphill and not so... More

This was our first time that we stayed in this B&B. It is a very good B&B. The rooms are spacious and clean, even the single bedroom is spacious. The view of the front bedrooms are really stunning. You can look over whole Oban and the harbour, with Mull as background. The breakfast is good. If you don't want a... More

My wife and I stayed at Dunheanish in August 2011 and our stay can only be described as brilliant. The view from our room over the city and bay was certainly and awesome sight - morning and night. What we also enjoyed was the location of Dunheanish in relation to town. The room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. Good... More

We have just spent two wonderful days at Dunheanish. William and Linda are excellent hosts who immediately make you feel at home. Our room was very comfortable and clean and had super views over the bay. Breakfasts were delicious and set us up for the day. There is a short walk to the town with lots to see and do... More
