My husband and I spent only one night (unfortunately) at Claonairigh House. We very much enjoyed the hospitality of the landlady. The four-poster bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. For all those who like a relaxed, friendly and authentically Scottish atmosphere, this is the place to go! We loved it! Anja

As I lie on our 4 poster canopy double bed at Claonairigh House, watching the flat screen TV and contemplating this review, I can't help smiling. We have stayed here once before, in 2009, and I am delighted to see that Fiona still has her awesome grilled grapefruit on the breakfast menu (as well as the full Scottish cooked breakfast). Once... We stayed just a night,it was a lovely time !! We arrived later and we were very tired ( after 7 hours to travel), but we received a really good welcome with a cup of tea and delicious cupcake. The room was old style, with a nice canopy bed. Breakfast was with a good variety of fresh fruit, organic muesli and properly... More

We visited Inveraray and stayed here. Travelled on a motorcycle with daughter, Fiona was very welcoming and helpful, stayed in a loft twin room, it was really nice accommodation and had plenty of character. Bike was totally safe. You can walk to Inveraray only if determined and willing to walk on road, we chose to ride there. Tony.

Thanks Tony for your review, It was a pleasure to meet you and your daughter. For anyone reading this there is a totally off road route to Inveraray for the stout footed (3.5 miles) through the forest and lochside tracks. there is also as of this season (hurrah!) a taxi firm. More

We were staying about 1/2 hr from the city of Inverarary, great small town in the Scottish highlands We visited Inverarary castle where some of the show Downton Abbey was filmed! Claonairigh House was across the street so we ate there and the beef was out of this world!

My friend and i stayed for three nights while the Best of the West Festival was on & Fiona, all the family and even the dogs were extremely welcoming & we really couldn't have asked for any more. We only spent one night at this wonderful B&B during our 13 day tour through Scotland, but we enjoyed our stay very much. Our en-suite double room was very spacious, tastefully furnished, clean and it had a comfy bed and wonderful views. We enjoyed the breakfast and the company of two fellow travelers very much. We would certainly recommend this... More

Another visit and just as good as always. Spotless room and hospitality superb. Great Breakfast despite Host having to compete in Triathlon with family. Even Simon had had sufficient. Only downside was that we couldn't find the switch to turn off the rain on Sunday morning!

We spent a lovely short stay at this charming, quiet place in the middle of a wonderful surrounding. The historical building makes you feel like in a little castle with its own castlegrounds around it. Breakfast, service, cleanliness and atmosphere were excellent and absolutely recommendable. If we are to be around again, we'll be back there!
