We had a lovely meal in the George on Tuesday evening. The service was very good and attentive to all detail. The food was fantastic and very reasonably price for the quality produced. The restaurant is very atmospheric and has enough space for various sizes of groups, whilst still allowing for reasonable privacy. Will be back.

we stayed here for 2 nights last week and have to say we look forward to coming back soon. It's may not be too cheap but the winter deal brings it into B and b territory and good value. As others have said the room we had was welcoming and comfortable, but the feature at the hotel is the atmosphere... More

Have been to the George a few times. Reckoned it was time to pay another visit for a meal in the bar area. I wasn't disappointed. The food and service were very good. There is a specials board that changes dishes from daytime to evening menus. The place was busy but the staff coped no problem. The bar has a... More

As you drive into Inveraray from the north, you get a real 'Brigadoon' vision of the town as you come past the castle and over the bridge, as it seems to hang suspended out over the loch. As it's off-season, parking was easy, and almost direclty outside the hotel. As you come inside, you're met by stone and beamed rooms,... More

Very quaint and charming with traditional period decor and roaring fires, tough to find nowadays when so much in the north is dull and corporate. Has a lovely bar and restaurant with characterful locals, good Scottish food and whisky. It's in a pretty and preserved olde Inveraray building and is an authentic experience.
