This is a classic 18th century Georgian hotel overlooking the main street of one of the finest planned towns in Britain and still very reasonably priced. The master rooms are huge and sumptuously decorated with original floors, antiques, paintings and sash windows. The George is normally an excellent small Hotel, but our experience was overshadowed by the very rude and abrupt pregnant waitress. A shame as the food is excellent and the rooms cozy and comfortable. more
