We had a lovely stay at The Argyll Hotel. The staff made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very spacious , tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. The location is wonderful and peaceful. The castle on one side and our room overlooking the pier with it's historic boats. The small town has wonderful classic georgian... More

Booked with Groupon deal. We knew it was an old hotel and were not expecting it to be top notch at the price but it is really is awful. The carpets needed hoovering, the paint is flaking ,the wallpaper is pealing, the duvet covers were torn revealing old duvets inside. We intended staying two nights but checked out after one... More

Stayed 2 nights as part of a voucher deal. The hotel badly needs redecoration, but is comfortable and clean. We had a room that overlooked Loch Fyne and the mountains, which is quite spectacular when the sun is out. The food is good and the staff are very friendly and couldnt do enough for us. I would visit again, but... More

Stayed for one night. The entire hotel is in need or urgent decoration, a good lick of paint, and totally refurnished. Did not sleep all night as the room was hot and when I opened the window, it was very noisy with cars parking and people walking about. The couple in the next room came in at 1 a.m and... More

I had purchased the groupon deal for a 1 night stay with dinner and breakfast for the price of £79 for my husband and I and our 1 year old son. On entering the reception area the hotel was very tired and dated and not really what I thought I had signed up for, however we gave it the benefit... More

Stopped two nights at the Argyll room upgrade to a four poster bed and a Loch view. The reception is a little tired as is the staircase up to the rooms , but in keeping with this old building over 300 years old and must cost a fortune to keep it in running order. The room was comfortable and clean... More

We visited on a 2 night deal and were very happy with what we got! Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Food was pretty good. What let it down for us was the room. I had booked room for disabled and it definitely didnt fit the bill! Manager very apologenic and gave us bottle of wine on the house, the... More

Thanks for our overnight. We booked on a voucher deal, so fantastic value for money. Excellent, friendly service and warm atmosphere. Room 214 is lovely. The dinner was delicious, I'd go all the way back just for the game terrine!

We have just returned from the Argyll Hotel where we had a wonderful 3 night stay. We were checked in promptly by the friendly receptionist. The room was spacious and spotless with a lovely view of the loch. Even from the bed! The breakfast was plentiful and hot ( even though we were always a the coos tail) once again... More

Got into town and knew our choices were limited for a place to stay. Tried here first and they gave us a fair price for a room for that night. Our executive room was huge, with a recently renovated bathroom and a sleigh bed. All good, excellent hot shower, but the mattress on the bed was very saggy and uncomfortable.... More
