Nice enough staff, but this Hotel needs help. Not sure why they call themselves 'Bespoke'? I thought it meant 'luxury' in Hotelspeak. This hotel is far from luxury! It has all the trappings of minimum investment and concern for the experience of its customers. You just feel bad for all those overseas visitors that I'm sure expected much better. We... More

We went as a group of 6 adults on a 2 night groupon deal and value for money it definitely was. The Argyll is over 300 yrs old so its hardly surprising it has wonky doors and slanted floors,,its all part of the character. The views were stunning over the loch, the food was excellent and the service was great.... More

Positives - pleasant staff, downstairs areas welcoming and breakfast was lovely. Negatives - this hotel despertely needs some TLC for it's rooms or it will get to the point that people will not stay, which is a shame. Please fix peeling wallpaper and apply a fresh lick of paint.

We stayed at the Argyll hotel in February as part of an ITISON deal. This was great value for money. The hotel needs a bit of a paint and the decor needs re vamped but the good was out of this world. The mussels were delicious. The waiting staff were so friendly. The bar staff were laid back. The too... More

This Hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking Loch Fyne in one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland. The staff are fantastic, not only in their service they provide you, nothing is too much trouble and they are all extremely pleasant and work very hard. The food is outstanding!! They provided us with an array of meals that outdone... More

Inveraray is a lovely loch side town, buzzing on Easter Sunday with day trippers and bikers. We had a lovely welcome and were placed in a corner room overlooking the loch, as booked. The hotel dates from the 1700s so nothing is straight, including the floors which is a little disconcerting. Our room was large and had plenty of storage... More

We booked this through a goupon voucher and decided to upgrade after reading the reviews. Unfortunately we didn't really benefit from this as you ate only guaranteed a loch view. The room was really tired , grubby and extremely noisy. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay due to the hospitality of the staff and the excellent 3 course meal.

I'll start with the positives - Bar and eating areas appeared clean, tidy and a comfortable place to eat and relax. Buffet breakfast was good and set us up nicely for the day ahead Now for the negatives: Walking upstairs was like stepping back 30 years in time (the last time it was decorated I'm guessing) Corridors to our room... We had a lovely stay at The Argyll Hotel. The staff made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very spacious , tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. The location is wonderful and peaceful. The castle on one side and our room overlooking the pier with it's historic boats. The small town has wonderful classic georgian... More

Booked with Groupon deal. We knew it was an old hotel and were not expecting it to be top notch at the price but it is really is awful. The carpets needed hoovering, the paint is flaking ,the wallpaper is pealing, the duvet covers were torn revealing old duvets inside. We intended staying two nights but checked out after one... More
