We have stayed here before and we do know the place and yes it is past its sell by date, but the staff always go out of there way to help us and treat us friendly. The food is excellent as is the service, the rooms are run down, but after all you only need somewhere to sleep when you... more

We were booked into this hotel by friends who lived nearby, the room rate was not cheap so expected a very nice stay - HOW WRONG WERE WE??!! When we arrived we were told that we were not booked in (we had booked 3 weeks in advance!) so think we got the worst room of all!!! As if this was... more

Where do I start? We arrived and the girl at reception couldn't check us in because she couldn't find the key to our room. When we did get there there was peeling paint in the shower area, an old computer left lying in the corner, radiator having off the wall, cold shower and generally disgusting levels of cleanliness!
