Stayed for one night as a stop over for Aberdeen and was so delighted. Johnshaven its self is a lovely spot - harbour ,fishing boats , quaint streets and glorious walkways along the coast North and South. The hotel served fantastic food in the bar. Best pub food have ever had at VERY good prices.had lunch and dinner here !... More

We went here for lunch without reservation on a Saturday. Were greeted very pleasantly and given a nice table. Menu was very comprehensive, but we both went for the lunchtime specials. My friend had the scallops, and I had the lobster. Both were excellent and neither of us spoke much at all during the meal. I'd forgotten how much I... More

The room was quiet, clean and comfortable with a view across the roof tops... so many different chimney pots... I had no idea. We slept very well as the bed was one of the... More

This lovely, fun, small hotel is definitely worth a stay. Everyone is so very nice and charming as is the place. It is situated where you stroll a block or less to the North Sea. There is a great bar/restaurant area and also a fine dining restaurant. The food is superb!!! Top notch!!! Highly recommended.

As traditional pubs go this is a little gem. Gary is a as passionate about his food as you will find and the overall service was slick and friendly. Just remember... More

Recently held a dinner for 22 people in the dining room to celebrate my husband's 65th birthday! Gary and Jan are the perfect hosts providing help and advice leading up to ocassion eg choosing menu, wine and layout of room. Our guests all enjoyed themselves praising both the food and the venue.
