I stayed there for just over 2 weeks and it was everything that I needed. The couple that own Limes Guesthouse are really nice genuine people. It was a place that felt like my home during the time that I stayed there. If I ever return to Montrose then the Limes would be my first choice for accommodation.

This place is the essence of a wonderful visit to a beautiful town. Marlene has put her stamp on this and her team make you feel extremely welcome. What a breakfast, cooked to perfection.....Make this a base for your visit and come enjoy Montrose :0)

This is a good place to stay although it's not the most modern and think they cater more for the elderly people although are very pleasant and breakfast is good with no complaints and are very friendly

Dear Mrs Scott, we had a wonderful time at your place. Thank you for making our holiday perfect. Our room was very nice, we slept perfectly. Your breakfast was gorgeous. I loved your cheese omelette. You know a lot about the region and gave us good advice where to eat in the evening. Hope to see you again some day.... More

This is an amazing guest house, made ever more so because of the lovely host Marlene. Nothing is too much trouble. We have had a long stay at The Limes on and off since Christmas, sometimes needing rooms at last minute and where Marlene couldn't accommodate us she helped and found somewhere local that could. Its a lovely, immaculate guest... More

The reason I stay in B&B's is because they are all different and quirky. I loved my stay here because it was completely different and have just spent the evening telling my wife all about it. Could not say the same if I'd spent the time in a Premier Inn Hotel. Yes there were rules but we have pretty much... More

Good location in the centre of Montrose. Stayed for one night in attic twin room. Warm welcome, explanation of house policy, then led up to room. Good size with modern features and DVD capable freeview TV. Shower room pristine... not one watermark anywhere! Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided as well as liquid hand soap. Beds comfy with toppers, feather... More

My wife and I, usually with our daughter, have stayed at The Limes several times before, most recently in late May of this year (2013), this time with daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren. Our accommodations were spacious and very clean. Marlene is a gracious hostess and very helpful in arranging transportation to sites of interest. Breakfasts were the traditional Scottish... More

We enjoyed our three nights here with very pleasant staff especially our waitress who was able to suggest places to visit in the surrounding countryside. Breakfast was "normal" B & B fare with overly generous portions. It was wonderful to stretch out in our room consisting of a double and two single beds for just the two of us.
