A lovely hotel if you want to stay in the Dundee area but away from the city. Family run and very attentive and friendly staff. The rooms were lovely too, although the shower wasn't great. Particularly loved the breakfasts which were the best I've had in any hotel for a long time - especially the bacon. more

If you want a faceless corporate hotel then the Castleton House hotel is not for you, there are aspects such as a bar and restaurant but don’t expect a gym or swimming pool, this is not the Castleton House hotel. Stayed here for one night in June. Friendly staff, nice grounds with putting and croquet. Rooms very clean and comfortable, though not large. Restuarant has pleasant ambience and good service, though the food, in keeping with much of the UK, tended towards overcooked. Overall, a good place to stay when touring Scotland. more
