I was here with freinds for an overnight on our way up North and I would not stay again nor would i recommend it. Neither would they. The place was dirty and very very old fashioned. Paper hanging off the walls. And a smell in the room. The food was okay but then so is the food other places. more
Spent three nights at the Strathmore Arms whilst visiting the area and friends. Originally booked for one night but the friendliness and attention of the staff (especially the head front of house girl from Bilbao) was far beyond what we expected and we stayed for three. What is it about tourism in this country? We launch incentives to bring in visitors then we insult them with hotels that look as if they were last decorated when Noah was a lad. Possibly had their carpets last cleaned then too, And staff who could give Basil Fawlty a run for his money. Though when it comes to price... more
