Have just come back from Carnoustie with my Girlfriend, had a great time. The room was a good size and clean with all the ushall things which you would expect, only down side was the bathroom fan was on all the time and didnt have an off button, also was kept awake most of the night by a humming noise... more

I had read some very negative reviews for this hotel so wasn't expecting much, especially as we had booked at a remarkably low price. We had a most wonderful stay. All the staff were as helpful as possible, all greeted us with a cheerful greeting. As we were staying for four nights we were offered and took a 'golf view'... more

Nice room but .... TV, and telephone not working, BROWN water for 15 hours, had shower at the Spa the first night. Bar service very slow even though it was not busy.and staff standing around in the dining room. Before we even sat down to order food we were told there would be a 40 minute wait. others were to... more

With regret the hotel experienced several localised power surges, when contractors in Carnoustie town centre damaged the mains electricity supply to the area. The power surges caused all the hotel electronic systems to go into safety `auto cut off` mode affecting the TV and telephone systems which were brought back on line shortly thereafter. The power surges also badly damaged...

I was attending a professional annual conference which are hosted by different local authorities every year.I was really looking forward to spending time with colleagues and having good food as this is a 4 star hotel. The food was bland, meat tough and very disappointing.Waiting staff took your order then forgot to bring what you asked for. On the plus side... more

The hotel apologises that this guests catering expectations and food service requirements were not met on this occasion and will try to ascertain the specifics so we can improve where possible. We confirm we are never happy with mediocre and always aim to give the best service and value on every occasion using the best available local produce where possible....

We stayed at the hotel last week for two nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Our room was very nice, clean, comfortable bed, good shower etc... and made even better as we had a view looking over the 18th green, my boyfriend was delighted as he is a keen golfer. Breakfast was good, usual hot/cold buffet breakfast. We ate... more

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of March 2009. Found the place to be comfortable and friendly. Didn't venture into the restaurant but found their bar meals to be more than adequate. Didn't try the spa treatments but the swimming pool was a decent size albeit on the cold side! Nice hotel for a short break. more

My family and I traveled to Carnoustie with high hopes - we expected a top class hotel with fantastic restaurant situated next to one of the greatest golf courses in the world. Well, the golf course certainly looked fantastic but the hotel was fairly ordinary and the restaurant was arguably the worst I've ever eaten in. We'd booked a meal... more

The hotel apologises for the shortfall in service & has tried to contact the guest directly to discuss observations made in more detail, which has been unsuccessful to date. We take all adverse comments on board and aim to constantly improve our offering to ensure customer delight is achieved through training & development of both our people and systems. The...
