A friend and I cycled from Edinburgh to Inverness along cycle route 1 in June 2015, staying in twin rooms at 9 bed and breakfast/hotels along the way. At Pond View we received a warm welcome from Margaret and Jimmy who were very helpful. Our bikes were securely stored (and there is adequate car parking). Our room was clean, comfortable... More

It was great to discover this beautiful B&B in an area not well served by such places. It is a great location for touring this Buchan corner of Scotland and for getting to Banff, Fraserburgh and Peterhead. Margaret and Jimmy Hepburn could not have looked after us better.

When we arrived Margaret showed us to our room. We were staying 3 nights so I asked in advance if they took credit cards, which they didn't. My husband was brought up in the area and we were visiting family, so he had people in common with the Hepburns. Margaret rang one chap who would have known my husband's father... More

We were made so welcome on arrival at Pond View it felt like staying at a favourite Auntie's house, and Margaret and Jim were so receptive to our four year old grandson we were all able to relax and enjoy our stay. The rooms are immaculately clean, well furnished and equipped, and the facilites have everything you could want. The... More

This is what Sophie Reid wrote in our Visitors Book "Arrived soaked and tiried from a day in the saddle. A delicious warm meal, a good night's sleep. A great breakfast revived us. Top Notch. We actually washed their clothes as they were full of grit and tumble dried same. Had we only hung them up to dry there would... More

Booked on the strength of being on the cycle route, arrived late due to appalling weather. Were offered an evening meal which was very welcome, although we had specified to Jimmy that I was vegetarian which had either not been passed on, or not understood, as whenwe mentioned this on arrival it was clearly news to Margaret who had cooked...
