Had a job to do in Peterhead at short notice, booked by internet. Hotel very dated. Walls in room were painted blocks and the whole room worn.had dinner in reasteraunt , which was ok.but when paying by card I had to go to the reception as the dinning area did not have a card machine.breakfast was not the best, sausages undercooked.would... Please do not be put off by other reviews for this hotel. OK there are problems, but if you want a reasonably priced hotel with good amenities, in the Peterhead area, then this is a good option. The plus points are that this is a large hotel with a good restaurant, bar, weights room and swimming pool. It has a... More

As titled. The whole hotel is in dire need of a serious revamp! Rooms are seriously dated and have a strange smell to them. You will be lucky to get hot water too! Don't bother with the breakfast either just have an extra half hour in bed as sometimes there last nights chips out being reheated!

The staff were very friendly upon our arrival, and gave us some good advice about the area, which we were unfamiliar with. It's not the poshest looking hotel, but our room was clean, the shower was good and the wifi worked well. We had dinner, drinks and breakfast there which were both enjoyable. Would probably stay again if we were... More

I stayed in this hotel years ago when it was MacDonald and it was OK. It is now run by Britannia hotels and is absolutely awful. The building is an eyesore and the breeze block corridors and rooms made me think I was visiting Peterhead Prison. The rooms are ancient, dated, tired and dirty! I skipped breakfast but was told... What a dump. Stopped here for 2 nights to visit family who live locally. Room stank, curtains all ripped, shower cold, breakfast not appetising, carpets in corridor held together with duct tape. Planned to take fámily flor a meal there(13 adults and 1 child), but was too embarrassed to show them what we were staying in. There loss as could... More

No matter how cheap or how much you need to find a bed for the night I would never recommend this hotel. The only thing it has going for it is the fact that the staff are friendly and helpful. It is embarrassing for them when you complain since they have to give you the head office email. I did... More

Never been happier in a hotel stay.... To leave. The 3cm cockroach "friend" in our room was the highlight. The breeze block prison cell feel left a little bit to be desired. Fortunately the cocktail bar closed. The breakfast, I managed to keep down though perhaps only due to passing on the offer of fried chipsH. The shower was freezing... More

We visited with friends for an evening meal, and was very pleased at our choice. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and made access as easy as possible for my disabled husband. The food was delicious. Freshly cooked, tasty and plentiful, I had lamb cutlets that were perfectly cooked. The pie of the day ordered by our friends was... More

The only good things about this place were that the room was large and quiet and the shower worked. On arrival the receptionist was offhand. The whole hotel has furnishings and fittings apparently unchanged since 1980s and badly needs refurbishment. My bed was poor quality. The breakfast was poor (terrible orange juice dispensed into miniscule glasses, cooked breakfast cold.) Truly... More
