My wife and I stayed here while visiting family in the area. The staff were very helpful, but the hotel was in need of updating, everything looked well worn and old. Saying that the room we had was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was also very clean, it was just a shame the rest of the hotel... More

Stayed here overnight in November. Quick check-in, staff friendly enough towards us,room was clean and tidy with tea and coffee supplied, facilities were good, only gripe was the breakfast the following morning. Would stay again if only using as a base to tour round area.

"Booked this hotel though Groupon as it was a bargain, but now regret everything from start to the end. Travelled up by bus to Peterhead from Aberdeen, took taxi to hotel , went to reception to check-in , handed over groupon voucher to lady behind desk, checked us in asked us when we would like to have dinner we said"7:00pm"... As you arrive at the Waterside, you will hear a thump. That's your alloy finding the potholes in the entryway! Sadly the rest of the car park doesn't fair much better! The hotel itself is a concrete built 70's design and it looks as though it was last refurbed in the 80's. The reception staff were friendly and I was... More

summary , they charge top rates but provide a worn out facilities . really poor compared to any other area . They only get away with it because of the Oil Industry otherwise this Hotel would be out of business. Staff were very good . £114 per night I don't expect to see duct tape holding the carpet together !!!!!... More

How this place is still in business beats me!! I have ambient lighting in my room as half the lights don't work. The room and bathroom has various stains and the wifi is a joke as as soon as you log in the signal gives up and you are back out and asked to log in again using the imaginative... More

Had to stay here with work for 1 night. The rooms are the worst I've ever stayed in, in need of a major overhaul or posilly demolition. Would have felt robbed paying more than £20 for a night, luckily my work paid in adance. The front desk and staff were helpful.

Stayed here for one night, thankfully didn't arrive until late. The Hotel was probably very nice back in the 1970's, it is so dated and tatty. Carpets in the restaurant and corridors is held together with duck tape (more tape than carpet) the room was very tired and had a fusty, damp smell.TV sound didn't work properly so was virtually... Where do I start. I booked a twin room, (mentioned I had a disabled mother ) on hotels combined with Venere, cost £125.($250.00aus). So not cheap. The site said it was a four star hotel with water views sounded good so I booked. Turns out the deal I made through Venere ,was actually with Expedia and was totally misrepresented (... More

Have heard a lot about this place from work colleagues and had to stay for a night. Rooms are pleasant enough but out dated. The over all hotel is lacking all around and needs desperate refurbishment. Grounds are lovely though and nice area to walk. Don't go to the pool or gym as they are well under par for any... More
