Stayed for one night on a voucher deal. The carvery was very good and breakfast could not be faulted. Staff were very well mannered and helpful. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were all very good. Only drawback to this hotel is the decor. Everywhere needs updating. Our window pane for example was "blown, the lampshade was hanging... More

Just spent saturday night here on a £49 groupon deal. Quite simply i am unable to find any grounds for negativity, because from beginning to end, everything about our stay was commendable. We were greeted at reception by a very nice lady who was pleasant and helpful in pointing us in the direction of our room for the night. On... More

For £49 we had dinner, bed and breakfast for two. The Saturday evening dinner was a carvery with a good selection including the local delicacy skirlie. The head waitress was so friendly and welcoming and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. The bedroom although basic was spacious and very clean. A complimentary bottle of Mouton Cadet was... More

This hotel was really good. with friendly staff. Food was also excellent with good facilities. such as the swimming pool etc. The only down side was the very hard bed.I would recommend this hotel to families and couples as the facilities are ideal.

This hotel has recently been taken over by Britannia Hotels. The New Year Celebration was a family affair with the function room containing 270 adults and kids. There was an excellent band playing called Glitz Function Band, they played all sorts of music from the 60's to current day, three female vocal and keyboard players with the best harmony's I... David Urquhart 3 night stay was originally booked for the Adamton House Hotel near Preswick, which closed a few weeks ago and we were redirected to the Waterside Inn in Peterhead. The food was good apart from lovely veg being under cooked, the brussel sprouts could have substituted golf balls! Our room was very clean but tired, a lot of... More

Stayed one night while visiting family locally. We read the awful reviews but due to the few town centre guest houses charging nearly double what the Waterside was, we bit the bullet & booked. We drove into a HUGE car park - unkept & full of potholes. The Brittania Hotels flag proudly flying at the front was, well, disintegrating in... More

My wife and I stayed here while visiting family in the area. The staff were very helpful, but the hotel was in need of updating, everything looked well worn and old. Saying that the room we had was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was also very clean, it was just a shame the rest of the hotel... More

Stayed here overnight in November. Quick check-in, staff friendly enough towards us,room was clean and tidy with tea and coffee supplied, facilities were good, only gripe was the breakfast the following morning. Would stay again if only using as a base to tour round area.
